  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Illinois Fighting Illini
Also notice Russell being taken out. LaStella at 2B, Baez at SS and Castro still on the bench. Really this team has a lot of versatility positionally right now.

Good come back win. I thought with Haren on that they would need to pound out a win but not the case.

Pen was leaky. Need to tighten it up

Baez went 0 for but looked better. Hope he gets a few hits next time.

I didn't like seeing them push Russell to the bench. It was pretty pointless to lose him that early. Worked this time but you don't move your best D SS.

Maddon goes with his gut feeling and he has said that. I can't argue about anything he does.

I get that. But Russell was 0 for 2 with 2 SO's. LaStella came in 0 for 3. Baez 0 for 4 1 SO. It was a non factor but Baez is a worse D SS to Russell.

Nothing happened this time but when at odds you stick with the stronger D set up.

But I really like Baez at 2B. He made a nice exchange on that double play.

I got to watch the game from the ~5th inning on yesterday and I caught the last 2 at-bats by Baez. I gotta say, I'm all in on the kid. He looks so much better than last year. He doesn't look lost and his swing is just a fast, but much more controlled. The kid is the future at 2B! :buttrock:

Oh, and Schwarber... have my babies

Same lineup except switch Russell to the 7th spot and LaStella in the 9th. Man, I don't like LaStella starting. Castro hit .296 in the month of August with 7 double and they have Baez up. I would like LaStella to be a stick off the bench or start against a tough righty. I know Maddon is going to play around a lot, but we will see. Maybe he pulls someone after the 5th again.

Scratch that. I don't know the lineup now. Schwarber has been scratched due to rib soreness.

#RibGate... soreness or something more? I've ventured back into the Bears forum so I have trust issues

@GDubCub: Schwarber scratched from lineup because of right rib soreness.

My guess he hurt it on the dive attempt of Votto hit..

New lineup

@CarrieMuskat: New #Cubs lineup:
Fowler CF
Coghlan LF
Bryant 3B
Rizzo 1B
Montero C
Jackson RF
Russell SS
Hammel P
La Stella 2B

I think Castro is out because he is viewed as a defensive liability. I could be wrong.

Also - did anyone know that the Cubs are LAST in the MLB in hits?

They also lead the league in batters striking out by 50 to 2nd most (Astros) and by 113 to 3rd most (Mariners).

Interesting stats. Home Run or bust for this gang.
