My favorite teams
When Hammel is dialed, he's a joy to watch. He has 4 pitches and his slider is almost unhittable for righties. He gets it - works fast out there.
Very impressive to win 3/4 from the Nationals in DC
Hope we can take both from the Tigers with Lester/Arrieta on the mound
Detroit is struggling. We need to get them with our 2 best. Lineup is not near as dangerous without Victor Martinez.
They did just win 2 of 3 from the White Sox, but yes I'd like both wins thank you.
As a side note, and thinking about those 2 of 3, what in the @#$& has happened to Jeff Samardzija? I was a never a huge fan and agreed with the Cubs brass that he was at best a very good #3 but what is this nonsense this year, in a contract year no less? I don't get it.
I like it. Im hoping he bombs so the Cubs can get him for much cheaper. lol
Yea, they took 2 of 3 from the Sox and lost 8 before. Sox are pretty horrible.
Yep, the Sox are about a .500 team this season it appears.
Long way to go. They have yet to have a really good winning streak. If that occurs, the division can turn in a heartbeat.
While that is true and there is plenty of baseball left, at this point you really know what teams are with an exception here or there. I'd be happy for the White Sox to be that exception, but I am not that optimistic.
true...enough of my hijacking...sorryI think you have to say that getting to 3-1.2 to 4 games back at the break, realistically gives you a chance at the division.
Injuries can play a role also, but frankly, to get back in the hunt and be competitive in the division, the need to start beating their rivals as they are currently 13-21 against them.
That is where you pick up the most ground, and obviously where they have lost the most ground to this point.
