2016 NFL Draft order and needs for every team according to NFL.com

8. Chicago Bears

2015 record: 2-5 (.547)

Top need: Quarterback
Other needs: Offensive tackle, cornerback, guard, pass rusher

Senior prospects at positional needs:
QB: Connor Cook (Michigan State), Jacoby Brissett (North Carolina State), Trevone Boykin (TCU), Cody Kessler (USC); OT: Vadal Alexander (LSU), Taylor Decker (Ohio State), Spencer Drango (Baylor); CB: Maurice Canady (Virginia), Danzel McDaniel (Kansas State), Will Redmond (Mississippi State); Guard: Landon Turner (North Carolina), Joshua Garnett (Stanford); Pass rusher: Shilique Calhoun (Michigan State), Jordan Jenkins (Georgia), Shawn Oakman (Baylor).

Analysis: Jay Cutler isn't the guy -- we all know that. The problem for Chicago is that it has so many glaring needs (including along the offensive line), that it's hard to start in one spot. Finding better cornerback play is a must, but so is finding a pass rusher who is a scheme fit for the Bears' 3-4 front.

the art of almost.

a once up and coming thick one with the name to drive dat search.. her name siri...

Surprised to see QB listed as the top need, even though I'm not at all a Jay fan. The Bears have a ton of other needs - including offensive line - that in my opinion need to be addressed before throwing a rookie quarterback to the wolves with this talentless team.

8th is as low as I want the Bears to draft provided they aren't going to the playoffs (they aren't). The top 8 picks (if everyone comes out) are: Nkemdiche, Tunsil, Stanley, Hargreaves, Bosa, Ramsey, Smith, and whoever is the #1 QB (Goff). But I'm really hoping for one of those 1st 6 names. In my mind, those are the 6 safest players in the draft that are also the top talents.

I'd say Passrusher is the biggest need, followed by CB, then a tie between RG or ILB.

Clearly this Lance Zierlein nerd is a butthurt Cutler hater. He obviously doesn't understand that Pace and the boyz in the locker room would take a bullet for Cutler. He'll be the Bears starting QB until he retires in 2032 at 49 years old.

I am glad you are finally able to get over your hate for Cutler.

The draft slot is so misunderstood. Remember when Ray and Gregory were in the top 10 before they got high. And Williams was guaranteed a top 3 pick but slid almost to us. And we passed on Cooper for shinless Kevin White, jk. Or that you don't draft a RB, Todd Gurley, early in the first round cause the position is under used these days. And Lockett is to small to play WR. And Hau'oli Kekaha is to small to play olb. And S-H-E-L-T-O-N was the best NT in the draft.

Now we're supposedly picking a QB early cause Cutler isn't the future. Yeah right! At least they got CB and pass rush right.

i remember saying take gregory in the 2nd, gurleys a given and i showed Hau'oli Kekaha love, while not being super impressed by shelton as a top pick. hmm so you talking to me....

Kekaha has been solid in NO thus far......

I get where you are coming from though... its a crap shoot regardless of position. AND yeah, they need a rush and CBs... nfl.com does at least mention it.. so they arent completely tarded

I thought Ray and Kekaha were the two best pass rushers in the draft. Thought Shelton was a two down NT but Goldman was a much better prospect and very surprised and happy we got him. I was giving you props for Gurley and DaBears for Lockett.

It's just crazy how much things change all the way up to the draft and how much hype, good and bad, prospects get.

yeah.. the combine/proday numbers doesnt help with the madness either.. thats why the game tape is always worth more... especially in Kekaha case.. his 40 was shit etc, but if you watched how well his rushing arch/hand skills were... it showed he was a really decent olb prospect

What i like about him so far in the NFL is how low he gets. His technique really helps his smaller size. And when he gets close to the ot, his hands and movement are really good. Keeps the ot on his heels and then can use the bull rush which no one thought he'd be able to do at the pro level.

Hope so, as long as it's not the bears who take him. Not a big fan.

How can you say we passed on Cooper when he was selected 5th and we did not pick until 7?
