I just don't see how we can take an injury guy and tackle is a lesser need for us than guard. Although if the top 10 unfolds as Brugler has it, I do think you still consider OL (would maybe lean Campbell in this scenario?).

Landon Jackson over Walter Nolen/Deone Walker seems bad.

Benjamin Morrison at 64 also seems way low.

Donovan Jackson made himself a lot of money last week. Obviously this is all contingent on pro-days and the Combine, but are you thinking Banks Jr. kicks inside? If so, and you do trade back, my favorite scenario of the draft comes into play: two players not separated by much so which one do you choose? Banks Jr. or Jackson?
I’ve always been greedy with my opinion and was hoping to grab both with Banks staying at OT.

If I can only have one and they’re kicking inside, it’s probably Jackson just because he keeps getting better every week playing out of position against top competition. We know he’s an elite guard. We’ve never seen Banks inside.

Banks played well and so did Donovan Jackson for OSU. I said that night he’s playing his way into round one and Brugler agrees.
Is Sawyer in this year's draft and is there any chance Bears can get him in the 2nd round? Also, is he consistently good as he was in the Texas game?

Serious enough that his agent said he won’t be ready until training camp.
seems like a risk I would be willing to make in 2 round and not first round. And yes I was critical of Kiran pick but kiran a project and this dude can play so rolling the dice wouldn’t be as bad imo. But not gambling in first round this team is way too shitty to be doing that

Don’t see the Bears at #10 going after anyone with an “if he’s healthy” tag in the scouting report, especially when Brugler doesn’t have any OL going in the first nine picks. That scenario sort of feels like a Will Campbell pick. He’s the consensus top OL guy in this draft. If he ends up at guard, so be it. In the end, it’s all about getting a perennial Pro Bowl type of player somewhere on their OL or DL with that top 10 pick. It doesn’t matter where…

Also interesting that Brugler has Membou going at #11. He seems to be the fast riser in the OL class, sort of like Wright back in 2023.
And even if Will Campbell were to kick inside, as a high level OT at a big time college program, he clearly offers position versatility, and can play OT if ever needed. That feature is worthy of #10, if you ask me.

Sawyer is an effort guy that has talent. He doesn’t loaf. He shows up every week. I’m curious how he’ll test at the combine.

He’s probably going late first to early 2nd. Right now, I’d say top 15 picks of the second round…

Yes, Sawyer is in this year's draft. With all the edges in this draft he probably be there in the second. A great year to be drafting one. An interesting edge is Mike Green from Marshall, 6-4 250, 17 sacks this season.

He is a good player who defines the phrase 'lacks bend.' A stiff athlete who just doesn't have the lateral quickness and cornering ability to be a dynamic pass rusher in the NFL. That said he is very strong at the POA, savvy, good straight line speed and speed to power rusher. Second rounder. Reminds me of another OSU guy, Sam Hubbard, although I think Hubbard is probably a bit better athlete.

I know the OL is porous, but for some reason I just can't get on board with Banks or Campbell at 10 when all their reports go something like, "may end up sliding inside..." Also, I am not willing to take a chance on Simmons at 10.

Braxton Jones, while not great, is good. He will need to be drafted over, but I don't think that need is PRESSING this year. I'd rather upgrade the DL at 10 than draft a possible guard/tackle.

Not all of the reports. In fact, most I have seen say Banks can play LT, a few say he should slide inside. A lot like when Rashawn Slater was drafted in 2021. What Banks would give you is the ability to play either OT/OG, then choose your best 5 for the 2025 season.

If the players are special then having arms an inch or two shorter than some say a T needs to have or a little shorter in height than some say a T needs to be won't matter in the NFL.

Ok how about this for the Bears top four picks.

1........Banks LT.
2........Green Edge.
2.........Walker NT if there. IF not Collins.
3..........Ratledge OG.

For once let's fix the damn trenches.
I’ve never seen Green play, not even his highlights. However, I’m all about using the top 4 picks on the trenches and good amount of their free agent cap space too.

Walker is just a monster. With a good line coach and nutritionist, he’ll be a force.
