You are backtracking again. Your original statement did not say FA. It said, and I repeat .........

remydat said:
I was pointing out having the most cap space was irrelevant to our regression because we didnt spend it.

Take special notice, nowhere in this statement does it say, "we did not spend it in Free Agency".
My reply was, yes, yes you did spend it.
And yeah, DJ Moore is another addition you added for over 10 mil, although not a FA acquisition.

Yes and when you responded I explained the context in which the statement was made. Perhaps if this were a court of law I would be sure to be more precise so people being obtuse can understand the point clearly.

You have made this stupid statement more than once. Your intent was quite clear, and now your backtracking because it was bullshit.
Typical.

And I explained what I meant by that statement dumbass. If you think spending to meet the salary cap floor and going into next season with 110m in cap is spending money then good for you. I dont.

Have a nice day!

Lmao, calling me a dumbass when your argument is because the Bears have cap next year, means they did not spend their cap this year.
Good Lord.

Managing the cap is not just a one year thing jackass nor did my statement suggest it was about just one year. In fact my statement made it clear I was not just talking about the cap this year as I clearly stated we have 110m in cap space next year.

Teams that have actually spent their cap have far more salary committed to future years because they have signed players to long term deals that affect the cap over a period of time. Hence why a team like the Dolphins are over the 2024 cap by 23-40m. No team manages the cap by just looking at cap space for the current year. That is the whole reason teams are willing to hand out long term contracts as they are managing the cap space over a period of years.

Because we didnt spent it Duh! We have 110m in cap for next year.

Who should we have spent it on bearing ib mind that Wright grades out higher than all FA tackles Bears fans were interested in?

So since you want to harp on exactly what I said, please quote where in the above I say 2023 cap space? Anyone that understands the NFL would grasp that the point above is had Poles spent money on guys he really believed in he would have handed out long term contracts that affect not just 2023 but future cap years. The fact we still have 110m in cap for 2024 is a clear indication he hasn't gone all in yet and thus hasn't signed guys he expects to put us in contention for years to come. If he had then again there would be more cap space used in future years because you don't sign game changing players to 1 year deals stupid.

So the point stands, the Bears haven't spent a bunch of cap space hence why they have plenty of it next year stupid. It is not my fault your deficiencies in reading comprehension led you to presume I was talking about just 2023 when I so obviously referenced 2024.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Same.

Also, I think it's been proven we can't rely on Jenkins and need to either sign, or draft, his replacement.

I don't have a name but we can't count on him for next season.
I’m not out on Jenkins yet. Remember the injury nightmare that was Marc Colombo? The Bears moved on from him, and he became a stud for the Cowboys, who only moved on from him, to get younger.

As evidenced yet again in the Washington game, Jenkins is a MASSIVE difference maker when he’s in.

I'll say it again: He's Bobbie Massie. That's it. A serviceable pro who is going to hold his own most of the time but can still come out and have a disastrous penalty or missed assignment. Some of you think is something worth a top ten pick, I cannot fathom how or why. And while I receive no shortage of personal attacks, nobody has even tried to explain why that charecterization of Darnell Wright's profile is wrong or how a player of that level is worth taking in the top ten.

I wish. I doubt they trade their next Howie Long though. Tyree Wilson starting to make plays to, thank God Detroit went with Gibbs instead of taking him.

I actually think he was pretty dang good for facing one of the best DE's in the NFL.

Some of you have too high of expectations, especially for bears players lmfao
he was playing one-handed. I don't know for how long, but obviously injured. I didn't see that during the game but he wasn't good. I have already said I don't understand why they don't ever give him help, so yeah, I don't have high expectations. He's a top 10 pick, so there IS that expectation.
