Don't look now, Campbell is getting better...........

PICK NO. 18: DETROIT LIONS: LB JACK CAMPBELL

Overall Rookie Grade: 56.9 (Rank: 2/5)
Principal Opponent:
T.J. Hockenson
Week 16 Snaps: 46
Week 16 Grade: 76.3

Campbell led the way for a Detroit defense that allowed just 17 rushing yards to Minnesota. His 82.9 run-defense grade was a game high, and he did not earn a single negative grade in the process. Outside of an understandably rough game in Baltimore, Campbell has been a borderline top-10 run-defending linebacker this season. That’s an incredible accomplishment for a rookie who was lauded more for his coverage skills on draft day.

This is a Bears message board. Nobody cares about your pretend Lions fan BS. Seriously, get a life.

PICK NO. 12: DETROIT LIONS: RB JAHMYR GIBBS

Overall Rookie Grade: 75.9 (Rank: 3/9)
Principal Opponent:
Josh Metellus
Week 16 Snaps: 46
Week 16 Grade: 65.0

Outside of two errors, a drop and a fumble, Gibbs had a solid day against Minnesota. He gained 100 total yards and had his second consecutive multi-touchdown outing. While he is still splitting carries with David Montgomery, Gibbs has turned into one of the most efficient backs in the league. His 5.7 yards per attempt leads all players with at least 100 carries. He is also forcing missed tackles at a top-12 rate after tallying seven against Minnesota.
LMAO other than a crucial lost fumble, he played great!!!

#12 OA pick for the 3rd rated rookie at the least valuable position in football that can't catch or hold on to the ball. Cool?

is it time to admit you were wrong?
Again?

You really are stupid. We already had this discussion before.

Lol I asked you to bet that he would exceed Clyapool's rookie production and you refused because you didnt believe he could so you and I had the same opinion. He was not going to put up these numbers. We were both wrong.

Gibbs is still not worth a first round pick and the Lions would have been better off drafting someone else.

Jack Campbell still sucks ass and was one of the worst picks of the first round.

Once again neither of us believed LaPorta would match Claypool's or Hock's production. We know this is true because when I asked you to bet on it you refused. So once again we were both wrong. The end.

Trying hard to convince himself his team didn't completely **** up the draft by taking a 2nd tier RB at 12 and a 2nd round grade LB at 18.

Campbell is ranked 74th out of 87 LBs. The dude is legit trying to defend taking a run down LB in the first round.

He also pretends like people said Gibbs sucked. The whole point is RBs are really not worth it unless they are a CMC type. After all that hype about how Gibbs has WR skills and will be used in the slot he really hasnt been that special in the pass game.

So Lions spent a 1st round pick on a backup RB with average to slightly above average receiving skills.

Again, this backup RB has more yards than your #1 and #2 combined. Also has the highest ypc in the league. but yeah, lets try to make it out as he is a RB2

And he improves on a weekly basis, what part of that do you fail to understand. Now, to be fair, lets compare Darnel "bust" Wrights rookie PFF grades to that of Penei Sewell ( PFF grade of 82.4 rookie season) .

The underlying argument is that I thought LaPorta would be much better than you had anticipated, the fact that he has even exceeded my expectations does not make me wrong, it only makes you more wrong. You lost........again.

If you want to start a thread about the Lions selections, put OT in the thread title and go for it.

Who leads the Lions in carries? Gibbs is a No 2. In fact he has the same YPC as Herbert did behind Monty last year and you made it clear Herbert was a No 2 behind Monty. So great Lions drafted their version of Herbert in Round 1. LMFAO.

No he actually doesnt. He had a 58 in week 15 and then a 76 last week. He hasnt strung together more than 2 good games all year so he is up and down as a player and mostly down hence why he is 74th out of 87 LBs.

Also why do you keep ignoring the Campbell discussion. He is 74 out of 87 LBs. Great 1st round pick.

Biggest issue for me with that pick was trading away swift just to draft another version of him.

So dumb.

Also, I've decided to dislike every single nc0gnet0 post from now on. The rest of CCS should do the same. No reason this twat should have a positive ratio.

Yeah spent all offseason talking about how Herbert's 5.7 YPC was because he was backing up Monty and now masturbating over Gibbs 5.7 YPC backing up Monty.

If they drafted bijan I'd get it somewhat since he was hyped as "generational" but instead they went with two guys who were overdrafted by 20 spots.

Good for the bears I guess
