I don’t think most people are displeased with Wright. If they are, I think they’re wrong.

Whether it’s fair or not, the question becomes, was picking him the right call over other guys, and whose skill set will ultimately win out as being more valuable for the team.

This isn’t unique to Wright. This happens in the draft all the time, and I personally think it’s absolutely fair

For example, in the coming years (and this year), it’s completely fair to ask whether you’d want a game-wrecking DL or a 2nd-best-in-his-class RT…or heck, a rookie-of-the-year QB.

I don’t know how it’ll all turn out, but it’s fair to ask these questions and connect these dots.

Hmmm. Game wrecking DT disappears when going up against good IOL’s and then cries on sideline when he acts like a tool. Carter wouldn’t succeed here, the constant double teaming he would face would ruin him mentally. He gets 1 on 1’s in Philly because of the talent on that line. The criticisms he would have faced here for minimal output because of the double teams would wreck him.
