LaPorta looks great. He was also a great prospect and several people on here were high on him.

Wright has been solid overall. Look at the last couple years, and many, many highly selected OTs struggled. Sewell and Thomas come to mind, as guys who were straight ass for most of their rookie seasons and just a year later were close to all-pro level. Every first round rookie OT last year, and there were 4 picked in the top 15 iirc, was terrible for most of the season.

Wright has made several obviously brutal plays, a few untouched sacks, a few awful penalties. But he's also done his job well on most of his snaps. I'd give him a few more games.
I read the SM article that was posted above. It states Wright has given up four pressures in 76 one on one pass blocking assignments and is the 12th rated run blocker. That’s pretty damn good for a rookie or a veteran.

He’s one of the bright spots on this team and Fucktucky thinks he’s a bust.

I realize the OP is an attention whore and a troll, but this thread topic is incredibly ignorant.

He's very stupid, and also had wright as his offensive all-pro pick for this draft.

Anyone judging ANY athlete over 20% of their rookie season is a moron.

I don't trust whatever stats those are, he's clearly given up more pressures than that.

But he's played pretty well for a rookie.

He has 8 hurries, 1 QB hit and 3 sacks for a combined 12 pressures per PFF.

He got worked by a defense only slightly better than the Bears, looking like a complete scrub against the likes of Jonathon Cooper and Nik Bonitto. This is Chase Young's get right game.
I started warming up to you and then you say dumb shit like this.

PICK NO. 10: CHICAGO BEARS: OT DARNELL WRIGHT

Overall Rookie Grade: 65.9 (Rank: 1/5)
Principal Opponent:
Nik Bonitto
Week 4 Snaps: 72
Week 4 Grade: 60.5

Outside of two penalties that dragged his overall grade down, Wright was solid this week. This was his first outing with 65.0-plus grades in both run blocking and pass protection. He allowed a sack and a hit, the latter of which was on a Hail Mary attempt. Chicago picked up nearly 6.4 yards per carry when running to the right side in Week 4. Wright’s development continues to be a rare bright spot for the team.

Here is how Wright stacks up against some of the Tackles Bears fans wanted this offseason. He is currently graded as the best pass blocker and 2nd best run blocker so no idea why @Montucky is on his case.

Wright
73.1 RB and 65.1 PB

Orlando Brown
45.8 RB and 64.9 PB

McGlinchey
70.5 RB and 50.8 PB

Jawaan Taylor
45.4 RB and 57.2 PB

McGary
79.6 RB and 59.3 PB

McGary never actually hit the market too if I’m remembering correctly.

He technically was a free agent but think he re-signed with the Falcons during the tampering period.

PICK NO. 6: ARIZONA CARDINALS: OT PARIS JOHNSON JR.

Overall Rookie Grade: 54.8 (Rank: 4/5)
Principal Opponent:
Nick Bosa
Week 4 Snaps: 71
Week 4 Grade: 60.8

Johnson had a brutal assignment as the primary opponent of Nick Bosa this week. He survived, though, as evidenced by his near-average 58.8 pass-blocking grade. Johnson allowed just one pressure but was beaten seven other times in pass protection, one of which included a holding penalty committed against Bosa. He can breathe a little easier now that he’s through facing Micah Parsons and Bosa in back-to-back weeks.

BUST!

So basically another Ethan Pocic situation, the guy was never available but posters here thought Poles whiffed on him.

Say what you want about Poles but I'm so happy not signed one of those FA.

You watched the game if yourselves. If you couldn't notice this guy blowing assignments and drawing flags and now need to spoonfed copes on Tuesday to tell you that what you saw didn't happen, I don't even know what to say.

I will take any one of those guys except Jawaan Taylor, who has been bad this year no way around it, and Jalen Carter long before I settle on Darnell Wright. Don't care what I was saying in June. Ryan Poles is paid to know better, and he doesn't.

I didn't recognized any pressure from the right side as like by Patrick and Whitehair.

Still learn to avoid penalties but this is fixible.

Its usually not.

Again, and nobody seems to have come up with a retort to this one: If he were good at football Ryan Poles never would've drafted him.
Did I say he's perfect? He has to learn a lot but he's the most less problem on offense or whole team.

He played 51 snaps. I saw the dumb holding penalties and said so in the game thread. I also sae the sack. Now please detail how he performed on the other 48 snaps.

He was the reason the Bears failed to convert on the biggest play of the game. Don't believe me? Ask Darnell Wright. He'll tell you the same thing.
