I read the SM article that was posted above. It states Wright has given up four pressures in 76 one on one pass blocking assignments and is the 12th rated run blocker. That’s pretty damn good for a rookie or a veteran.LaPorta looks great. He was also a great prospect and several people on here were high on him.
Wright has been solid overall. Look at the last couple years, and many, many highly selected OTs struggled. Sewell and Thomas come to mind, as guys who were straight ass for most of their rookie seasons and just a year later were close to all-pro level. Every first round rookie OT last year, and there were 4 picked in the top 15 iirc, was terrible for most of the season.
Wright has made several obviously brutal plays, a few untouched sacks, a few awful penalties. But he's also done his job well on most of his snaps. I'd give him a few more games.
He’s one of the bright spots on this team and Fucktucky thinks he’s a bust.
