Simple Caleb Williams is the QB.

If the Bears decided to keep Justin Fields and drafted the haul they're worse off now than they are with Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson is going to a different team.

The Raiders don't have a QB.

The Jags had Trent Baalke and Khan.

Dallas had their eyes on Schottenheimer only

The Saints also don't have a QB

The Jets don't have a QB

The Patriots only wanted Vrabel

Next dumb question....

What does this have to do with pizza?

Simple. If you were working for PFF your grading would be subject to multiple levels of review and given how obviously biased you are I imagine you would be fired after a few months once they caught you trying to give Billings credit for Dexter's sacks.

You are a case study in why PFF has a use because you are so blinded by your biases and preconceived ideas.
My biases are just the hard truths none of you meatballs can stand.

In week 4 the entire board was touting Dexter over Carter. Strange how 14 weeks later that changed.

Is Dexter still better than Carter? Yet another one of your brilliant early season takes.

Ummmmm huh? How can anybody think the Bears with the inside of the OL is bad if we haven't fixed it yet?
Because the problem was mainly injuries and it took them like 4 or 5 weeks to get their shit together. That and what the OP is pointing out ie they were left on an island too much.

Of course you would try to make some kind of sense out of something stupid you said instead of just saying you said that wrong. SMDH

No they arent. They are just dumb baises.
Carter - 5 sacks, 12 QB hits, 36 pressures and 27 run stops in 541 pass rush and 286 run snaps. 74.1 PFF Grade.

Dexter - 6 sacks, 13 QB hits, 19 hurries and 22 run stops in 335 pash rush and 235 run snaps. 71.4 PFF Grade

Dexter projection - 10 sacks, 21 QB hits, 30 pressures and 27 run stops if he had 541 pass rush and 286 run snaps.
Someone not being biased would admit that Dexter had a solid year even if Carter is better.

They would also admit Carter played with another DT that was top 10 in the metrics which obviously helped him and that once Billings went down it made things harder on Dexter.

But you are you so you will keep allowing your biases cloud your judgement which is why you are not fit for PFF much less sports journalism.

Carter also got off to a very poor start If I remember correctly. He might not have been healthy and/or motivated but who knows. Players ebb & flow. Such is life

Pass Block Grades
Jones - 80.8
Jenkins - 75.8
Shelton - 68.4
Pryor - 78.1
Wright - 75.4

If this group had started the whole season, then the Bears OL would have been fine. The problem is they didnt.

Jones and Wright are fine. Jenkins is too injury prone which is why it may make sense to move on from him. Shelton doesnt really fit the power runs Johnson likes so can see him being replaced or signed as a backup. Pryor doesnt have the feet to pull and probably best as a backup.

So I stand by what I said. The OL wasnt as bad as people make it pit to be. It can still be even better by getting better, healthier players who are better schene fits. Feel free to actually dispute what I said with actual data.

Holy shit you're dense. I'm not reading your post.

You said fix the interior and it isn't as terrible as people think.

Fixing the OL is in the future so how can anyone think it's bad if we haven't even gotten to the fixing it part yet?

You told me their mere presence made players play worse and coaches coach worse. Why would Ben and his agent subject themselves to such a toxic situation?

Doesn’t an intelligent guy like Ben know what you know?

So does Caleb eliminate your perceived McCaskey factor?

Is Caleb such a bright light that Ben is blinded to the truth that Daniel CCS Bears knows as gospel?

I don’t know why The Athletic or a NFL team hasn’t recognized your brilliance and saved you from a life toiling as a bus driver.

There's 65-million reasons why he decided to get fired by being hired.

Let's see how this plays out.

1) Brutal schedule leads to Bears firing Poles

2) Caleb will have a decent year but will leave a lot of development on the table

3) offensive line will still be a mess

4) defensive line will be even worse as Billings struggles to come back to full strength from his injury and Dexter is exposed for the fraud that he is. With no pass rush to speak of the defense will continue to baffle people who thought that this unit was one of the best in the league heading into 2024.

5) Bears will go into year three of Caleb hoping a new GM will be able to add enough talent to unlock his full potential and the Bears will have to wrestle with whether or not to extend him after the Bears sneak into the wild card.

6) Bears will see just enough Jordan Love and Dak Prescott type of production to extend him after year 3.

7) Bears will bounce between wild card team and mediocre as DJ Moore Cole Kmet and other players start to age out of the league. Caleb Williams is one of the best QBs the Bears have ever had but he never gets to his full.

8) Fans laugh hysterically at the memories of Caleb Williams stating that his goal was to try and win 7 Super Bowl titles.

9) Fans like you are so excited that the Bears have an average QB that you'll spend the next decade arguing with me over how great Caleb is looking like Tua Tagavaiola.

Two early season games against the Houston Texans have been major predictors for the Bears. The first came with Justin Fields performance in 2022 week 3. The second was week 2 2024 after that obscene offensive line performance. Ryan Poles isn't yet fired but he inevitably will be after continued failure.

Ryan Poles is a horrible fucking GM.

Dexter is like Shea McClellin he's got Bears twitter fan experts hanging on to false hope.

When Draft Dr. Phil was touting Shea McClellin on here and on Twitter is was the same stupid hope on here.

Agreed dont read my posts given your struggles with comprehension. The OL isnt as bad as people think is in reference to how the OL (starters) werent as bad as people think.

Having said that we still need to fix the interior because Ryan Bates is the only guy who played on the interior under contract. So we are missing 3 starters. By contrast we have 2 starters under contract at T.
