Im fine with this. This leaves the door open for Szczur to try to win the spot. They also could move Lake there and sign Nelson Cruz for left. Or maybe sign Ellsbury in the offseason which I wouldn't be in favor of. It starts to give options for some of the minor leaguers to get playing time. We know what Dejesus brings. We don't know what some of them can bring.

Bogusevic back from the DL -- hopefully also leaving the door open for Vitters and/or Szczur, as well. A Lake/Szczur/Schierholtz outfield is pretty athletic.

Well I mean the Cubs paid $8M for an outfielder for rebuilding years...

But don't worry guys they save $2.5M.:obama:

Well, I can say this. This thread was already derailed and it didn't come from the usual suspects!

Don't worry, KB will be in here soon.

Then we will get to hear about Clubhouse leadership, salary, how we need outfielders, how this is a step-back for the Cubs and how Theo is building a losers mentality!

Joe, why don't you go back to alphabetizing your hockey cards and mowing some grass -- the grown-ups are talking about baseball.

Any idea as to who the PTBNL may end up being?

Pat was banned for a month! Which I find completely ridiculous. Salami just likes to get under peoples skin. KB is just never wrong. It takes all kinds to make the world work. Seems some people take shit way to personal and have this innate ability to ignore dumb shit.

Im not hearing anything right now. Its an odd trade considering the money Dejesus is owed and that he will be a 4th OF on the Nats. Ill post if I find anything on the PTBNL.

I guess the Nats really felt like DeJesus was THAT big of an upgrade over Roger Bernadina. Unless they have some kind of historic explosion like the Dodgers, I just don't see them even making the Wild Card. There's not a chance in hell they catch Atlanta. I do agree it was a puzzling deal from their perspective, but hey, if they want to pay DeJesus's salary, I'm all for it!

I heard Bernadina was released but I didn't check up on it.
