Funny, the mockery from all the sac havers. Presumably they *think* they know what this thread has become about which is yucky girl stuff and yet the minute I posted some activity there were several of them in here within minutes checking to see what it was and then adding their disparaging Statler and Waldorf routine from the balcony. They all need to stop dicking around with the cliche passive-aggressive boy shit and just give in to the love feels they have for reading about the girly shit.

Yes, I see this every day on State too. I have never been in one of these Burlington Coat Factories myself although my aunt and mother have either in the burbs or on the far NW side of the city. The fucking commercials are certainly ubiquitous enough though. I am not sure I will be a patron because quite frankly it's replacing the Filene's Basement that used to be in that spot. The State St. Filene's was a physical HOTASS MESS but was awesome in terms of the high quality items one could find if they were willing to trawl the racks and the really super-duper marked downs when they really wanted shit to move. Like I didn't care when Loehmann's didn't make it in the Joffrey building down on State recently but I mean that was just a 3 year experiment but it's weird not having a Filene's for the first time in like 20-25 years?

I pretty much want all the dresses linked here. And at least half of the stuff in the dress sale. I actually need to do a purge and re-assess my clothing situation before autumn rolls around. There might even be some summer dresses that I will retire. It's sad but true. Also, I need to do a new count. Yes, I like to count how many dresses I own, mostly so when people ask, "OMG, how many dresses do you own?" that I can provide them with a solid number. My guess is that I now have around 90.



At the PNE yesterday my friend and I got so many compliments on the dresses we were wearing, though they were both nothing too fancy. It was just the fact that we weren't dressed like tourists or hobos. Not that I have anything against tourists or hobos, they just have a different fair-going style.

Damnations! All the testosterone leakage in this thread got me totally derailed from the important shit---namely your having (essentially, why parse numbers between friends, heh) 100 dresses! This is superb tbqh. Quantity. It's important if one is not a rabid fashion minimalist. Individual style very often takes sheer numbers of shit. I didn't derail shit. No one had posted in the thread in almost three weeks. I simply took advantage to bring up a topic to Mule that she had mentioned recently in a Status Update. And I don't need to practice what I preach because I'm not the one who sits here and bitches about the quality of subject matter when it jumps from topic to topic and THAT'S the fucking difference.
