IMO bears need to hire someone with past D cord experience. Nagy can’t even get his Offense right, let alone add any help on defense.
If Nagy was more competent or had been a HC for me than a few years, I think hiring someone without DC experience would be fine.

My top candidate is Keith Butler who was the Steelers DC last year but got fired.

He's not. Like not at all. And he is a garbage human being, with an ego that would have Nagy shaking his head. If you think Nagy is stubborn, go back and look at Patricia.
The guy played the most man coverage in the league, without the personnel to do it. So bad, in fact, that Mitch could easily read and pick apart his defense. They spent a good amount of money on defense, his hand picked guys, and they just sucked. They got worse everywhere and he never adjusted.
He lives off Belicheck success and a fancy major in college.

Must of been a reporter jumping the gun or putting bad info out cause the day after they got knocked out of the playoffs there was a report from someone that he got fired. Now i see that they're actually talking with him now about a new contract. Oh well.
