I didn't watch it. I'm not interested in the Winter Classic anymore. First couple times was fun but it's not something I am interested in anymore. I watched a little junior hockey instead which to me personally is more entertaining than a fake pro hockey game worth points.

That's probably why I don't like it so much. Too much flair and sparkles for one game for my taste buds. For football that single game of events and celebration works. For hockey it just sits odd with me now. I don't like how the outdoor game transfers over to television either, it doesn't feel right or look right. Live though I bet it's amazing.



Playoff hockey is when I feel hockey is celebrated most and best. There is nothing like hockey playoffs in any pro sport. It's like a month and a half of Superbowls. But if the outdoor game is drawing new viewership and interest then I am all for it. Just don't care to watch it.
