The trade that makes sense is moving Taj to a third team, that team moving someone to the Nuggets and the Bulls getting Afflalo. The unknown team can provide the draft pick to replace the Bulls pick that is going out or go directly to the Nuggets.

Taj has 1st round pick value. I am sure a trade can be made if the Bulls want to move Taj. I am not sure they want to though.

Taj could be our best defending big this year. This trade would probably piss off Thib's. It does make some sense, however.

But we'd get to have two good perimeter defenders as a result. He could play Afflalo and Butler 40 minutes each. It's a dream come true!

I really think for the first time I can do w/o Taj as he hasn't been special this year. I think two good wing defenders in the starting lineup would be fantastic, however. It would also give us two 3 pt guys in the starting lineup with Affalo and Dunn.

Definitely something I've been clamoring for. I think with all the bullshit that's going on in Denver, we could get a real motivated Affalo as well. I would be open to bringing him aboard. Moving Taj would allow Niko to get some more minutes which would make me very happy.

This is also a stretch, but we could potentially start trying to run a small ball lineup with Doug at the 4 too. It would never happen right now, and I doubt it'd happen even with Taj gone, but it's something I think could be effective down the line. FWIW Doug looked better guarding bigger guys than he did the athletic wings. I think we know why.

Why can't we run Jimmy at the 4? All we need to do is sign Nate again. Nate, Brooks, Rose, Butler, Pau.

Becuz Hinrich needs his minutes!

All we need to do is set up a Karaoke machine in the locker room with only country music and an audience of stuffed animals.

Would that be a stretch 4? :rimshot:

No, Taj hasn't been specil this year and I think it has more to do with the number of bigs that they have with him. I'm , serious. I absolutely think that these guys are getting in each other's way,

And I'm not a big fan with the way Thib's is using them, if you hadn't noticed.

I said in the Taj trade rumor thread that I question any team that feels they need Taj Gibson to put them over the top. The same holds true for the Bulls.

I disagree with both positions. Taj has a big impact on every game in which he plays. Unfortuantely the Bulls have screwed up how they are using him this year.

McDermott and Hinrich for Affalo works in the trade machine.
