Yeah, I knew it was possible but I thought the chances of it happening again were really low... Hmm, maybe I'm just making shit up
Based on what I saw, the percentage (whatever it is) is probably way higher than 10%. But I really have no idea so your guess is as good as mine.

I really, really hope this didn't happen when he was in the game up 18 with 5 minutes left.....because if it did, I will flip the lights on Thibs.
I find it hard to believe it was then because he didn't really do anything...but if so, Thibs probably deserves a VDN esque choke out

Didn't he take a spill late in the 4th last night?

Either way. If it didn't happen then, was he being played hurt?

If you're GarPax, do you start thinking about a possible rebuild?

I can see a situation where they trade Gasol and Noah for draft picks [lottery maybe?] so they can get younger + they'll unload 21+ million. Sign some stop-gap vets for 1-2 years. Then they'll ride out Rose's contract and have him leave via free agency, the same year Gibson's contract runs out.. 30+ million off the books that off-season. If they play their cards right, they could have 25-30 million in cap space by 2017 with Butler, hopefully an improved Mirotic and young guys with potential. That wouldn't be a terrible spot to be in.

I'm a bigger proponent of Thibs than Rose. I'm sure this doesn't shock many here. But if I'm going to be fair and intellectually honest, I have to admit this is totally fair (I'm addressing the masses more than you...I know you're not soliciting my approval).

I think they're definitely looking at a rebuild once Rose's contract expires. Probably building around Butler (who will be in his last contract as a top tier player) and Mirotic like said. Hopefully McDermott as well. They may just dump Gibson this offseason as he's been in trade rumors a bunch anyway. They may try to get a 1st for him. I can see them shipping out Noah as well as he's about to start declining. I guess we'll find out, but it won't be as much doom and gloom as it may seem.

According to this no one has a clue when he got injured: http://www.chicagotribune.com/sport...-rose-meniscus-tear-bulls-20150224-story.html

Apparently Rose didn't even feel it until today. I can see that as a buddy of mine fractured his foot playing ball and didn't feel that until the next day either.

may depends on what kind of tear it is. I have torn mine 2 times. Once sever and there is no way someone doesn't feel that right away...just no way. And once a moderate tear which again i have difficulty believing anyone wouldn't notice it right away when it happens. Perhaps the minor tear could be a bit less noticeable at first? Have no idea but seeing he is out for the rest of the year I doubt it was a minor tear unless he had an initial minor tear and he did something to enhance that to a sever one overnight? Don't know but from my own experiences just no way anyone wouldn't notice the pain right away esp if a sever tear.

The only reason why I see them keeping Gibson is because he doesn't really hurt us much cap wise. Noah on the other hand is turning 30 in 10 minutes and he's got 1 year left on his deal. Would anyone be happy about re-signing a 31-year old Noah to over 10 million a year? That would just cripple us.

i definitely think we need to trade Taj, Gasol and Noah if we can this offseason

i'd like to trade Thibs to Memphis and bring in Hoiberg IF he is willing to make the leap to the pros

that sets you up with Nikola/Jimmy and a young offensive minded coach...thats a pretty good start on the rebuild

not much we can do with Roses contract other then wait 2 more years or use the stretch provision on him which cuts his salary on the books down to 8 million a year for the next 5 years

This shit is just unreal at this point. Sucks for Rose as it's not really his fault. He just has tendons made of spaghetti apparently...

I think you're on point with most everything, but I highly doubt the Griz are in the market for Thibs anymore seeing as they're the #2 seed out West. I do believe if the Bulls don't go at least to war in the East Finals- Thibs is gone. I also agree Hoiberg is the coach in waiting and I don't see any reason for him NOT to take the Bulls job. He's built a powerhouse in Ames and there isn't much more for him to do- especially when the Bulls will have no trouble almost doubling his salary (2.6mil this year).

In regards- I hate thought of dealing him, but if the Bulls are in rebuilding mode........

lets just wait and see what the surgery results are and the prognosis turn out to be. It could be a minor clean-up for all we know- or Rosie could opt for the remove and just be ready for the playoffs.

Time will tell.

I was just going to post that.

Its hard to say where it happened, but regardless....the non-contact plays (where Rose has been hurt before) indicates to me that the ligament he injured was going to go regardless. It wasn't whether if he would be hurt, but when.

On the real though, this sucks. Pretty much deflated any hope I have for this team.
