It makes me sick that this happened again. Sad to say, it looks like Derrick Rose is may be gone when his contract expires. I don't know how any team in the NBA could want a guy that has proven he can not stay healthy. Four seasons worth of injury says "I'm done" for a player who needs his athleticism as much as Derrick does. I was holding out hope for him up until this point. Without his athleticism being there every night, you get Derrick Rose the chucker...and we all know how much wood that guy can chuck when he's feeling trigger happy.

I hope he recovers and figures out a way to get his body and mind right for his next "Return". I am really hoping for the best for his basketball playing career.

How people can laugh and poke jokes at this fucking disgusts me, seriously. Under no circumstances is having any player, let alone a franchise player, get hurt a funny thing. **** some Bulls fans man smh

This is what I find funny. Not him getting hurt. But how someone else said. Rose nuthuggers. It makes no sense. He did not care for the team, the coach. Or the front office. He would only do what rose and his brother wanted rose to do. I find it funny that when this guys coach was telling him he needs to attack this moron was telling everyone that he wants to take it easy and save him self for the future. Well this is what happens when you half ass it most games and then try and play at full speed. Body not used to it. And you get a 3rd knee injury. Dude is done. He cashed in and he could care less if he plays anymore basketball he got his penthouse in the trump tower. He could care less if fans like him or not. Probably will move to LA anyways.

Rose is also useless as a facilitating PG who can shoot jump shots. Had 2 years to improve his jump shot. Now we saw how"improved" it was. Just terrible sucks for the kid but in no way I can feel sick for him or sad for him. He made his 350mil. I am not going to feel sad for someone who made their life living by age 30.

It's called a legacy. I guarantee that Jordan would trade in all his money to ensure that his name is remembered forever in history like it will be.

Maybe all you care about is money but most people also care about if and how people will remember you when your gone whether that be from your career or life.

So how do you build this team going forward? Do we keep butler or start trading guys for assets and start from scratch until we get rose albatross contract off the books

Build around Butler and Niko IMO. See how Snell does the rest of the year and if he can become consistent.. We could be set at PF-SF-SG... Need to find a future center and PG.

Nothing we can do the rest of this season though but play it out.

I think Gasol might be hard to trade given his age and that he has a players option for his final season. His contract isn't bad, but its not great.

Noah and Gasol though are tradeable at this point. Gibson could be too. They're all aging on a team that's looking at 2nd round exits for the foreseeable future.

So the scoreboard is cut off in that video... I looked it up.. That particular play happened at the 7:31 mark in the 3rd quarter. Rose played the rest of the quarter and even blocked a shot near the end of the 3rd (suggesting he had some lift on that play..). He sat out the entire 4th until that 5:00 mark, where Thibs did not need to put him in., but did in anyways.

I'm done with Rose. He is holding this franchise back and we need to trade him in the off-season or at the trade deadline next year. The only way I would bring him back is if he took a big hometown discount.

Even if Rose is gone, we still have some nice pieces in Butler, Mirotic, Snell, and McDermott to build around.

Try to trade Gibson, Noah, and Gasol in the off-season. You might get two first round picks out of all of their respective deals.

Trade Thibodeau to a team for multiple first round picks.

He needs to just remove it and play. I can't believe they are going to repair it again. This kid needs to just play! Wade a made career without that tendon!

He didn't have the character to rehab properly...twice.

this is heartbreaking man....

but now the bulls need to move forward as if Rose won't be there for a full season. He's 3/3 which has got to take a toll on him mentally. Idk man i just feel really bad for him.

If you're GarPax, do you start thinking about a possible rebuild?

I can see a situation where they trade Gasol and Noah for draft picks [lottery maybe?] so they can get younger + they'll unload 21+ million. Sign some stop-gap vets for 1-2 years. Then they'll ride out Rose's contract and have him leave via free agency, the same year Gibson's contract runs out.. 30+ million off the books that off-season. If they play their cards right, they could have 25-30 million in cap space by 2017 with Butler, hopefully an improved Mirotic and young guys with potential. That wouldn't be a terrible spot to be in.

I wouldn't be too mad at it, but rebuilding in basketball sucks so much more than rebuilding in baseball or football. I feel like it's such a longer process and there's a lot more luck involved

So I'm a Rose nuthugger because I don't want my favorite team's best player to get hurt? Everyone and their mother knows Derrick was the biggest piece to our championship puzzle, so get the **** outta my face with that "he's made 350 mill" bullshit. I don't care how much money he's made, no one deserves to continuously get hurt like this.

What amazes me even more is when Brandon Roy was getting hurt like this, I remember a lot of Bulls fans showing remorse. But now a member of our own goddamn team has health issues and people make fun of it, make lame ass memes, and even cheer on the fact that he's hurt again. That's disgusting

Rose is untradeable. The Bulls will have him until either his contract expires or they have a new CBA and can amnesty him. You can't restructure your deal in the NBA like you can the NFL.

This is going to play out with Thibs being traded or out-right fired. He will be the fall guy.

Yeah, I'm convinced he's gone now. And I bet they just fire him and get nothing for him.

Stop blaming Thibs on this one. The training wheels had to be taken off and his minutes increased to get him playoff ready. Obviously his knee was not as strong as it should have been and it would have happened soon regardless of Rose playing in garbage time the other night.
