The word "best" being thrown around (on all sides of the argument) in this thread is very argumentative. And that's one thing that could be said against Hou's chances at being a good defense attorney.

There are some stats in which Rose is better. And there are some in which it's James. In some, it's a very debatable. Looking at the stats as a whole is even more debatable. And there is a much more complicated story behind every single stat. Some stats are somewhat overblown and some are very overlooked.

It seems that everybody is in agreement that James is most likely the easiest player to point to as the "best" overall player in the NBA. But everybody also seems to have come to the consensus that Rose deserves the MVP more than James this year, despite that.

A lot of us find Hou's style of debate pretty tiresome and sometimes he has the tendency to overlook a lot of substance made by people in previous posts... and he sometimes does jump to conclusions and assumes the worst about people's judgement.

I know I sure as hell don't agree with Glide when he said Rondo was a scrub. And he does see the game through the perspective of a true blue Bulls' fan. But all of us do to a certain point. And why should any of us hold that against him? He had some opinions that I feel like I agree with most of them in this thread that were negative about James. But he didn't call him a terrible player either.

I think we should try to start getting along now. Nobody in this thread is coming across like a blithering idiot. And we are all mostly on the same page anyway. Let's spare ourselves the drama.

Gunzaan appears to be pretty agreeable to me man. I can't recall an insult by him being thrown your way either...

Then you didn't read...he DID insult me. Any time...ANYTIME anybody makes some statement of Lebron being my loverboy...that is an insult. Why should I put up with that? Screw that!!! I am friendly to those who are friendly to me...but I am not going to be disrespected.

By the way, Lebron's clutch issues are exaggerated. His clutch numbers have been and remain better than Rose's. He draws more fouls in the clutch and shoots a higher percentage. Just so you know...

I notice that after I make the argument totally debunking your 24/8/4 stuff that you most likely picked up from somewhere else...you spoke of his historic season, I just pointed out to you that historic and great are not necessarily synonymous. As stated before, you continued to insist that I answer, don't get mad if the truth obliterates your theories...

How are Lebron's clutch issues exaggerated? I've personally seen him screw up 4 games in the last 30 seconds.

And you didn't make an argument debunking Rose being the 5th player ever to go 24/8/4. You talked about how Wilt didn't win MVP's because of it 40 years ago. You rely on history as a barometer and that doesn't necessarily ring true. And true, historic doesn't necessarily mean great but when someone does something that is historically great, then yes, it is amazing.

Your last sentence is what is really troubling. You claim to only want to debate and discuss issues, yet everytime you open your mouth, you claim that your ideas are truth... without actually backing up your 'truth.' That is just plain arrogant and I can understand why people give up on "discussing" with you because you aren't actually debating anything. Not only would you make a great defense attorney, but you would make an excellent politician.

Well stated and completely on target. I guess I will just stop posting in this thread since most people are right, it isn't going anywhere.

Someone has some thin skin, my god. Since your theories are all 'TRUTH' and anyone that disagrees is just being foolish, I guess I will take my foolish opinions elsewhere.

And being friendly with you obviously means blindly agreeing with you. Thank you for showing me that you aren't capable of having a disagreement, a debate or a discussion.

Peace.

You can take your opinions wherever you want...read your first few posts and see the condescension and tone you took with me. You felt emboldened by the situation and the subject matter, and by my stance and made as many accusations as you could about me personally. I asked you to save the psychological drivel and made my points...then YOU got sensitive. It seems you are the one who can't stand the heat, not me. Next time, come with more respect and there won't be any problems. Again, I have seen people on this forum who WENT OFF on people for making a point, and I never did that...I defended my argument and in the process, due to the negativity in your posts, I had to defend myself. But anyway...peace out...

By the way, that was all said AFTER I was done with the argument and stated it.

I had a conversation on twitter with some people, namely Kris Johnson aka Jersey Chaser, who proceeded to give his theories. He loves Lebron...to the point where daily he has a post that says simply "#Lebron"...that's it. He said that Westbrook is better than Rose, I told him he was being biased because they both played for UCLA. He said he is calling it like he sees it. He then proceeded to tell me "class was in session"...so I said I am always open to learning new things...his theory?

Westbrook has more pressure on him getting the ball to Durant on the wing than Rose does playing with inferior talent. Guess what? I disagreed. I then asked him if he felt that way, did Stockton deserve Malone's MVPs? His answer? Yes, Stockton did deserve those MVPs...I knew right away that he would say anything, no matter how outrageous to back his argument. And class was dismissed for me...I walked out...lol, great guy from my dealings with him...bad, bad argument.

That is the debating I have to deal with on a national level. I have argued AGAINST Lebron when necessary, as I have Rose, Westbrook...whoever. I have had disagreements with journalists, bloggers, whoever. We did not get personal, nor did they turn Carl Jung on me and give me some pathetic psychological diagnosis. We had a debate...I ran into people from Miami, Portland, Washington D.C. and LA...all PROFESSIONALS...who say Rose has no business in the MVP conversation. I argued with them all at one point or another. Because I don't believe that to be true. Its all in how you approach these things. I have never gotten blocked from these people, even if I told them they were off base. Yet, on here...I am vilified for saying the same things I say on twitter. Its unnecessary.
