The point is that even if Ian Stewart is pure crap, in a season like this you give him the plate appearances to better evaluate it. He was a highly regarded player and was injured. We know that he's had issues that may be directly related to the injury and may be because he does suck. But there's no harm in finding out. If he sucks by the end of the season it's a non-tender and that's the end of it. The team has more issues than just Ian Stewart :lol:
