thru 8/25 in both 2011 and 2012

2011: .165/.292 w/ .584 OPS 11 HRS
2012: .207/.340 w/ .839 OPS 38 HRS

still comeback player of the year all day long.

I don't get the fascination with high strike outs. Would be any better if he made his outs grounding out, or flying out?

He should have walked more, but he hit 41 home runs. I can live with the strike outs.

You definitely live with the strikeouts if he can smack the homers for you. It's just a really interesting kind of player to be so 3TO like that.

Wait a moment, you mean was or at least is in comp[arison to his average. His OB% is like 30-40 points below career averages.

Compared to his average he's still getting on base around 140 points higher than his anemic batting average. So he's still useful, just not as useful as if he made more contact.

.

I just read this thread for the first time, as over/under threads aren't my thing. That said, why was the looking to 2013 thread closed? MRubio made a great comment, but someone closed the thread and I'd love to hear Dews response to the comment. Of course, he probably closed the thread in the first place because there was nothing to say but admit defeat!

I think Dews made a new offseason thread that's stickied so you can continue the conversation there if you wish. Not sure why else it was closed though.

Ehhh, I like Dews most of the time and I don't like getting into "comment wars." I would just prefer a real forum of discussion if at all possible.
