You fucking crack me up. Go be big mad about Jedd Fisch bailing on you and your alumni begging and pleading to hire a mediocre coach to return to an illusion of greatness you had under Tomey in the 90s as your beloved basketball program continues to fall apart on another board. You bring nothing to the board worth anything Bears or Rats. You sad sack of shit.
Cool story fatso, nice attempt to cope with an AZ education. Nothing I have ever said or done would lead one to believe I have ever stepped foot in Tucson. Idiot.

I have 2 degrees from UC, thanks for playing.

That's nice you feel that way. Meanwhile they just made the CFP after rolling through the Big XII. Go ahead and continue to underestimate ASU.

Keep flexing fatass.

Arizona State University's (ASU) acceptance rate is around 90%, which means that nearly all applicants are admitted.

Acceptance rate details

  • In 2024, ASU's acceptance rate was 90.1%.

This is falling of deaf ears. I don’t think he’s very good with numbers after thinking he discovered something clever with Edmunds contract.

^^^This guy gets it^^^

Walter Nolen is every bit the game changing and complete 3 TECHNIQUE that Jalen Carter was at the same point in his career.

I understood Ryan Poles passing on Jalen Carter because of the controversy around him, the need for multiple offensive linemen, and the fact that they still really at square one of a rebuild and the DT position tends to come with an average shelf life of around 2 years. So I get going in a different direction.

This time around is a whole new ballgame. Walter Nolen is THAT guy. Your defensive vehicle is all built. It's time to drop a Big Block motor under the hood and watch this defense tear it up.

You watch any Eagles game including the SB and you clearly see the impact that a 3 TECHNIQUE of Carters caliber is going to have on your defense.

Running the ball on the interior is off the table. Carter either blows up the entire play, or OCs double and sometimes even triple team the bastard and the Eagles DEs benefit greatly. The Eagles do have good DEs but neither one are great/elite. Carter makes that entire Eagles defense a brutal unit. You don't see that from Dexter. Not even close.

Walter Nolen is the same caliber player as Jalen Carter was heading into the draft, and is the right player, right position at the right time for the Bears without the off the field headache that Carter came with.

Do not let a player like Nolen slip through your fingers.

How did this thread turn into a thread about ASU and Arizona?

You don’t go to ASU for the academics. You go to be surrounded by what is likely one of the best party campuses and hottest co-ed student bodies in the country.

my guess right now is either Nolen or Green depending on how free agency goes.

Green's 10yd split and shuttle will likely determine how high he goes. There's little doubt about his chops. I prefer Nolan right now but it's early.

I think he's got enough on film and Senior Bowl to be top 15 for sure. Shuttle is one of few combine events that has decent predictive qualities for EDGE players, though, I agree about that.

Maybe Billings wasn't so much but Dexter was absolutely a problem against the run. Stopping the run is more than just what the DT's do but they're obviously still the biggest part of stopping the run. You have to get contain on the edges and the LB's need to do their job as well but it starts with the inside of the DL.

Dexter isn't there to stop the run, he is a pass rusher.

The problem is that they don't ever value NT enough to have even 2-deep.

There is nothing but UDFA and development prospects behind Billings, and they ask too much of him already.

Lovie understood the value of rotating guys.

It didn't get really bad until Pace and Poles and I've been ripping my hair out every cut season since these "roster masters" started trying to do this New Orleans school bullshit on Soldier Field.

Anthony Adams type never even makes this roster to rotate when bad weather inevitably comes, or Billings needs a light load week to get over a nagging injury.

They need to build the team from the inside out. That's the knowledge that has been lost for slop field.

QB/MLB/DT/C/RB/OG

These devalued NFL positions have greater importance here but we don't even have 2-deep quality at most of them.

Look at successful Bears teams and tell me I'm wrong.

Yes i think everyone agrees that Poles has been bad at bringing in backups as well as everything else he's bad at. He likes going bargain bin shopping but isn't good at that either. Now coaching and culture change can help with that but either way he needs to get better.

It's too late now to build from the inside out because the outside is pretty much built on offense and defense. With a good offseason focused on building the trenches things can turn around quickly and he has the cap space and draft picks to do that.

BE BETTER RYAN POLES.!!!!!!
