Let's just say that a poster here could share some information about this incident, but doing so would get that poster into A LOT of trouble.

I like dez and although I believe the race card is way overused by many black Americans, I'm going to have to side with Dez. He's a great guy

ND is horrible.
Don't know what happened.

Don't know how much racism exists or if Black people over play the race card in general bc I am not black.

I do know Dez is a class dude (from all i've heard) and was a great teammate and would be shocked if he cooked up some story of racism out of the air.

That's simply my uninformed opinion.

EDIT: VHHS....ya.....yaaaaa.....I am leaning more towards something offensive happened considering where this took place, and YES, I have worked in Vernon Hills/been around there enough to have an opinion on that.

I don't know any details but I'm gonna pretend like I'm an expert on the subject:

As prevalent as racism still is in America, the go-to card of "that's racist" by black-Americans is severely overused.

Its probably not necessary to be dismissive through generalizations when discussing a specific occurrence.

He just seems like he would never do something like that....unless he was in the right.

"According to police, it all went down on August 29th at Vernon Hills High ... where Desmond's 17-year-old son was blocked from participating in a school lip sync event because of a previous code of conduct violation."

Don't know one way or the other what happened, but I'd be interested in having all the facts before making a judgment - what exactly was this "code of conduct violation" that got him barred? That might answer why they did what they did, depending upon the infraction.

A lot of parents overreact when it comes to their kids, even when their kids have done something wrong. Perhaps it gives the parents an opportunity to make up for a lack of bday gifts or hugs when the kid was younger. Easier to yell at a school official than it is to read Green Eggs and Ham for the 30th time I suppose for some people.

That said, we don't know details but I love Dez. Seems like a great guy all-around.

Its ok Gus I'll take the risk. Dez's son was caught in the cafeteria rubbing melted butter on his buttocks. Dez was angry that a school administrator called him butter booty. This is so egregious

Alright.....

Are you fucking crazy? I'm not getting in trouble for you fucks. If it is even me anyways.

No worries - I work in a school and there is such a thing as confidentiality, so you (or the person you know) who happens to know what actually happened not only shouldn't feel any obligation to a message board, but you (or the person you know) should NOT expose that.
