did you tell him you were high? He may have taken the ticket back.

Last thing I need is another DUI. Yes, I have a DUI. Yes, it was stupid and I deserved my punishment. No, my bond shouldn't have been higher than the repeat offender for assault and breaking and entering.

Anything less than 35% in the front, I think. Mine are darker though. I got 20% up front, 5% in back. I'm pretty sure 20% used to be the limit up front and they changed it. I heard the back windows didn't matter, but they need to see the driver. Probably so they could racially profile properly.
Might want to see the driver as they walk to the car so they don't get shot.

So seeing the drivers face will let them know if he's hiding a gun?

He can command you to show your hands before he is next to the window for an easy shot. Think about it. Wouldn't you want to be able to see what's going on in the car if you were a cop? I do think your ticket was bullshit.

Would you hear him with the window up unless he was in firing distance? You can see through 20% though, that's why I got it. Plus it's to protect my leather from the sun. I didn't just get it because it looks cool. I heard it was more so they could see how many people were in the car, but what difference would it make if the back window doesn't matter?

To be frank I dislike DUI guy worse than assault guy. I can usually avoid the belligerent idiot but what the hell can any of us do about the drunk on public roads?

Um, he had aggravated assault while breaking into someones house. It was like his 3rd or 4th offense.

That sounds like a burglary and he should probably be in Michigan City right now if guilty.

That's what I said. How the **** was his bond only $500 and mine was $1000 for my first ever arrest? This was only the bond hearing, so I don't know if he was convicted or the details, but I remember being pretty flabbergasted.

How about that section of I94 in Indiana where the speed limit is 55 or some shit and EVERYBODY goes over 65. I never understood that shit.

Meh, the speed limit on highways should be 65-70 anyway. I'm pretty sure there was a study done that revealed the higher speeds decrease accidents because it helps traffic flow or something to that effect.

The one that bugs me the most is on the interstate when I'm doing 70-75. I try to stay about 2 car lengths behind to give myself time to react at those speeds.

It is better than guy who's so close you could cut your lights out and drive on his.

Hate tailgating for same reason as I hate DUI, both are playing with my safety.

At those speeds, it should be enough of a distance to break without hitting the person in front of you, and believe me, it does. Of course, doesn't mean you won't get rear ended. But yeah, you get a DUI and you have to take a driving course. You should stay 2 car lengths and give at least a full two seconds between cars to give your car space to brake.

I don't like DUIs either, even as someone who's gotten two. Just stupid shit. I'm against it, but after you're drinking reason goes out the window. I make sure I don't give myself the option now, because if I can't control the action after I've been drinking, I'll make damn sure I control it before I start. I've walked home plenty of times from a friends house now. That said, it's such a money grab for the state. I don't think enough of them care about the public's safety.
