People need to take responsible for their choices. Everyone wants a quick fix. That's why stupid fad diets or cleanses are so en vogue and come and go. It's why people like Aragon have people set 6-12 months goals rather than 12 week goals.
People can also over eat on "healthy" foods. If you're eating 5,000 calories a day regardless of if it comes from salads or Big Macs you;re doing it wrong.
I actually agree people tend to want quick fixes and fad miracle diets, but what does that have to do with cutting all of the processed carbs out of your diet, eating some carbs appropriate to your activity level, and eating a lot of high quality protein sources and fibrous green veggies as well as nuts/fats?
That isn't a fad or a quick fix.....that's a new mode of eating that simply works better for a large portion of the population who has a very specific biochemical response to simple quick burning carbs taken in without lots and lots of protein/fiber...one that causes appetite to shoot through the roof and binging to occur.
I can eat 5k cals in a day quite easily.....tons of whole milk and cereal, chips, baked goods, croissants.....taco bell fare....etc. etc
I wouldn't be able to eat 5k of fillet and sauteed broccoli more than 1-2 days in a row if my life depended on it. You just fill up on that quality protein and fiber.
What can I tell you, that is how a lot of people's bodies simply work.
Will power has nothing to do with it.
