We're watching the Grandkids today so I replaced all of the locks on the 4 exterior doors with Schlage. Best locks you can buy. Fun when you have a 4 year old wanting to help.

Having some break ins in the hood and don't want to have to shoot someone?

I like working with natural rock and stone of all different types and sizes. Find all of the rock myself at various mountain sites and haul them home myself. Recently I found nice specimens of petrified wood and byrite and now must figure out what to make of them. I've made some wax and oil candle holders out of petrified wood(man is that tough to drill!). Make fountains and waterfalls out of the larger rocks and stones.

It does get somewhat expensive with the tools, drill bits and polishes involved but some of the stuff I give as presents to folks and others I auction off to my church charity. It keeps me in good shape also which is a plus.

Wife is off today so my chore was to burn the stump from a pear tree that split in half 1.5 years ago. Burning pretty good. :yep:

Make sure you don't do that shit during a lightening storm, dummy. Now that you appear to be out of harm's way from your latest encounter with the bolts from above, I think that I am safe to give you a ration of shit:)

Tomato plants are already about 4ft tall. Had to put in wood stakes to reinforce the cages.

With your luck a sequel of the attack of the killer tomatoes is probably on the way.

You know, Aussie, The worse thing about it is that they never gave me a reason for this stupid ban. There was a heated argument in which I got attacked and was defending myself as always and then I was banned. I was told to be cool and it would be restored but that never happened either. I asked why from Rush and the other feather merchants on the board and got ignored. The bottom line is that the lot of them can kiss my ass.

House lines. My house is on solar so basically all of the electricity I use is free.

"experiment with trout"? What does that entail?

Thats a nice carving. My son works with wood. You'd love what he does with wood. A couple of years ago, a friend gave him a couple of leopard tortoisi(sp?) and he made a couple of venues for them, one indoors and one outdoors. THe outdoor one has a small pump hooked up to a waterfall that he made that the things can climb up the side and then sort of belly slide down on.. THen he plants vegetation around both areas that they can forage in.

What I also did for decoration outside was make some wire terrariums in different forms. I made a six foot long porpoise for along our spa and a 6 foot high seahorse. My wife likes to play bridge so I also made topiaries of the Spade, Heart, Club, Diamond. Put them along our front walkway into the house. That was an interesting project with the hardest part being bending the frame wire into the proper shape.

There is s spray that is sold out here that kills these things without the use of poison and actually works better. It is an oil that actually coats the wings of these things and they end up suffocating to death because it is their wing flapping that cools them and without it they die. The good thing about it is that you can spray this stuff away from the danger zone.

depends on where you live, but we just moved up into the mountains and it drops to freezing and snows some, but it will melt in da day usually, unless its a freeze week.... coolest day last month was -7.7 c (18f)... avg low was 1.6c (34f)... avg high was 9.8 (49f).. so technically its still short weather in the afternoon if the sun is out

it was 15 today (59f) i was out back in a t shirt and shorts continuing the clean up...

peak summer avg here is 26c (79f)....hottest day last year was 33 (92f) its a big change from the last place we lived at..it would hit highs of 40c (104f) - its a lil over an hour away but at the base of the mountains...2600-3000ft lower
