Wife is off today so my chore was to burn the stump from a pear tree that split in half 1.5 years ago. Burning pretty good. :yep:

Tomato plants are already about 4ft tall. Had to put in wood stakes to reinforce the cages.Garden is in. 6 hours of fun. Rabbit fence took more work than I thought it would this year. Middle of summer I'm going to have great tomatoes.

Mine are 5 ft tall and I've jarred up 6 jars we couldn't eat.
I'm at about 4.5 feet and popping off with tomatoes. I am ready to start making salsa as soon as those Jalapenos kick out.
Wimps.....just pay people to do this shit
That's the best ....salsa from your own fresh produce. Do you have a favorite salsa recipe?
I do more of a Pico De Gallo style than anything.
Just fresh tomatoes, Jalapenos, Onions, Cilantro, Garlic, Salt and pepper.
Whir it all up in the food processor and let it sit for a few hours in the fridge and its ready to eat. The measurements on each ingredient is to taste. I like mine hot so I will use more Jalapenos than most people. I also salt it once when I make it not too heavy and then salt it again when its served I don't know why but it seems to hold the saltiness a little better that way, sometimes use some garlic salt as well.
if I am feeling fancy I will chop up a couple of avocados and scoop that on top and you have a nice easy guacamole as well.
If you want more traditional you can always score your tomatoes, boil and skin them and then use almost the same ingredients but just cook it down a bit. If you are feeling New Mexican you can sub out the Jalapenos for Hatch green chile and have a nice green chile salsa as well. Do not typically do that because if I am using Green Chile it is either fresh chopped, or turned into a sauce for enchiladas etc.
I really do not use measuring devices when making any of this, but will say that with salsa it always seems like I have to put "too much" salt in it before I feel like it tastes right. that is why I salt early and late, to avoid over doing it in initial tasting.
Lol!! I sat there looking at that before I posted it knowing I had forgotten something. Yes limes! No Limes????
Put in some ceramic tile yesterday. Once the mortar sets will have to go back and grout. My back and knees are killing me this morning.
we got new used home that needs updating... lots of work at hand fo me...inside and out..... but i must say.... for carpet from the late 80s early 90s its actually mint... some ppl understand what it means to take care of their shat
