How do I know he's not a pimply faced (expletive not to be used here)?...a creeper on this site has proven it.

You may be surprised... we are interviewing for 2 roles and me, my teammate, and my manager all place a good amount of weight on the candidates being easy to talk to and personable. There are far too many weird IT people as it is lol.

Of course being personable counts for something. Anyway, you should have seen the IT people when I graduated college, now those were some strange people. Now the IT field is so popular and such a solid industry that you see all types of people in it. Hell I never used to see women at work that I wanted to plough, it made being at work easy. Now there are hot women coding Linux perl scripts that I would love to plough.

There really isn't much creeping needed. I've been posting with Rush for over a decade. LOL.

then I misunderstood what u were saying bash me all u want call me names makes no difference to me. if I misunderstood what u were saying my bad. it just seemed as if u were downing someone who was attempting to improve themselves by whatever possibiltys they had at their disposal. not everyone has the cash or time for going to a school people have children and jobs and shit that makes that almost impossible

My VP is looking to double the size of our current team some time in 2014, one of our biggest worries is finding guys that will fit in with our team's current dynamic.

So that, and applicable work experience are by far the most important things we hire on. I'm a college drop out, our Senior DBA has an associates from a community college and the other DBA has a Psych bachelors.

Your degree doesn't matter in this industry, for the most part; actually knowing shit is a hundred times more important.

I always kinda wonder if you find the same thing in other industries?

"You are a secretary?"
Yep
"What was your major in college?"
Astrophysics and Computer Science, double major
