I wouldn't say that you have high expectations. I know several girls that match that description.

I think high expectations would be wanting a girl with a perfect ass, perfect tits, pretty face, great body in general, a great cook, someone who you can bring home to mom, someone who fucks like a pornstar, likes sports, doesn't talk TOO much, doesn't smoke/use drugs/etc [if that's what you prefer] has a great sense of humor, etc.

Now those expectations would be too high.

Well, you've gotta realize that those top-shelf ladies who have all these wonderful physical and personality traits don't need to get on dating websites - they do just fine on their own.

That being said, my wife smokes, drinks (on occasion), has a tattoo, has several piercings, and met me on Yahoo chat several years ago

There is a time for everything, 80% of the women our age are fucking fake tan idiots who go on a raging spree in clubs to catch aids and herpes. I'm not saying we shouldn't date women right now at our age, i'm saying we should take off the warning labels and let the problem sort it's self out. That kindergarten teacher type you want? Yea, she's out right now studying or trying to establish a career for her self later while the club raging douche bags are catching syphilis. By your mid 20's you'll see the girl you want emerge into the wild while the one's with syphilis and herpes transition into heroin addicts. Trust me....

To be honest, they are out there, probably more than you think although I am not sure that dating sites are the place to find them. I found my wife (that fits your 'desires' to a tee' in college. She also was the same denomination as me (both Catholic although I was pretty much lapsed at the time).

My advice: Don't look for those kinds of women in bars or on most dating sites. A woman with those qualities more than likely will be religious (which someone pointed out earlier) or at least working to become a professional. If you wanted a skank then the qualities you listed probably wouldn't be there.

Also, don't work so hard. I think women can smell despiration and they don't like it. Women, even the ones with the qualities you want, like a guy that finds them interesting but get scared when a guy acts too interested. It gives the impression of being despirate.

I'm not sure I totally agree with this but there is some truth to what Gerard is saying. I met my wife in college. Most of my 'stable' friends met their spouses in college. Common purpose, common interest and a drive to be more than just a party favor. They have fun too but they have a purpose and it isn't just to find the next pair of shoes.

What year did you graduate college? I mean yes there are plenty good girls you can still find in college but rare.

dude, you have plenty of time to find your girl. You are probably just looking in the wrong places. Also, at 19, most girls won't get on a dating site. Look around in your college classes. you will find some that are what you are looking for. Either that or go to the sociology/psychology/childhood education meetings on campus. You are sure to find those girls you are looking for. I met my wife in medschool. Just got married this past summer. Doesn't smoke, drinks a couple of times, great cook(although, lately I do most of the cooking because of our work schedules). Only downside is that she is a Patriots fan and a Republican. However, I can live with that. Nobody is perfect.

Graduated in 96, from Bradley. I know that at that point there were still quite a few smart, focused, beautiful women then. I had my options and I got damned lucky, the girl I met there has been the best thing that ever happened to me.

Probably some truth to that. My wife is first generation American. Her dad came over from Sicily in the 1950s. My best friend's wife (that he also met in College at the University of Washington) is also first gen American, from Nicaragua. Both of our families just celebrated 20 years of marriage.

I suppose I want the latter. I've been thinking about joining clubs recently specifically a business club in my CC. I think when I get to transfer to a university and hopefully I get accepted into U of I, I'll also join plenty of clubs specifically honor societies. I should have joined the honor society at my cc last year but I think i'll have to wait another semester. It'll help my resume and getting into business for u of i is tough so that's a plus.
