Orthogonal to this discussion, because CW is absolutely:
  • Generally Improving
  • Making good decisions
I'm very happy that the Bears got the win. Now, I am kind of also cheering for JF to perform well so long as he's not playing the Bears (or the Bills), and he had over 300 yards today and was responsible for 3 TDs (1 throwing, 2 rushing). Somehow even with those stats though, Pittsburgh lost. I'm still happy with CW, and I'm happier still that the Bears won.

EVERY Bears fan should be cheering for the continued success and stellar play of Justin Fields...

....because if he continues this pace, we get a better draft pick! :snoop"

no, he’s learning, getting better each week. He held the ball too long on a few plays today and got bailed out by penalties. I’d rather he take the check down if he’s not seeing it rather than take hits.

He also had 3-4 incredible throws today. His best one was on short pass to Kmet he fit into a very tight window. Then of course the td pass was money.

If it’s not there medium-long, I want him to check down rather than standing there and eating a sack.

That's just a difference in what a person wants to see, a personal preference. The OP would rather watch Williams eat sacks. Everyone has their thing ya know.

I'm with you on this one tho

With this offensive line there are many times he has no choice but to check down, the pocket collapses so friggin fast he has to get rid of it. I would like to see them start rolling him out some, he is great throwing on the run going either direction. He does not have a good feel at the moment in the pocket, too many times it collapses and he is stuck holding it until he is swarmed. I don’t understand why they don’t start calling some plays where he rolls out and moves the pocket.

IMO, caleb held the ball and when he didnt he either took a sack or checked down to swift.

So we traded away a guy with 300+ total yards today for a guy who cant break 200 and is constantly checking it down?!?

It really pissed you off that the Bears won today while Caleb was efficient with the ball, didn't it?
