Um excuse me but you literally don't need a time traveling machine to access this types of music now in 2021 because there's literally pandora spotify youtube music Apple music and they literally have all of that music and you can also find old records at the antique malls and thrift stores as well as actural record stores where they sell recordings from old artists for you to purchase.
Nope, give me the time machine.

Shania Twain is really a crossover pop artist. Let's be honest. The other one I had to look up and it was from 1994. Yeah, that's not happening today.
Maybe country music is no longer the most popular music in the USA? Maybe it doesn't really possess the energy that halftime show producers are looking for?

It's kind of funny that people are caping for it who don't even like it though.

I don't like country either. I do miss 70's and 80s rock, though.
That kinda music is dead right now.

It should make a comeback someday....but keep in mind jazz was popular American music for 50 years and died in the 60s and never came back.

none of this is true.

unless you are talking about a dominant music style having the same dominance as it did in another era, none of this is true.

If someone wants to hear contemporary performers of older styles of music, it's easily accessible and the people making that music are not just some scrubs with day jobs either, there's plenty of folks listening to them to support their careers.

Or it is the most popular music and the organizers are canceling them because they have different political views.

I know about the old artists, I want new artists in the genre though. It's basically a dead genre. At least as far as the mainstream is concerned

Country is adjusting to mainstream. It's still very popular and filled the void for adult contemporary music which no longer exists outside of country.

Yes, this is what I'm talking about.

A top selling jazz album might sell 100k copies today, not exactly Taylor Swift numbers.

Not sure why you keep going back to availability when talking about popularity.

Have some fun and do it. LOL

Nah, I can't tell what's bannable on this forum. Won't risk it.

I will say though that I was never a huge fan of west coast rap. Always liked east coast and midwest way more

If the reason isn't that he's black, I'm pretty sure you're safe to say why you don't like him. Honestly you sound pretty stupid right now acting like you'd be risking something saying why you don't like him

I'm addressing this because the idea of selecting one style of music to take the dominant popular music throne is not a thing. Just look at the Billboard charts. It's all over the place.

Where's the jazz song on billboard top 40?
