Felt like it hearing about Troy. Not that i was a big fan of his at first but he grew on me like the herpies you gave me. Don't feel the same without him.
Figured seeing he and Q didn't appear to be eye to eye last season but I liked the option Brouwer gave this club to move him up and down the lines here and there. I think teams need that sort of winger incase of injuries. Too bad Troy had a bad one of his own last year. At least when Troy wasn't scoring he was hitting hard and getting physical. That will be missed...but hopefully my boy Ben Smith can take on both those rolls even though he is a bit smaller he does has that work ethic.
Will be interesting to see what Ben Smith does this year. I know the games he did play in last year he showed some great signs. And I loved the guy instantly but I do want to see a full season out of him before casting some real judgement. He will get some good ice time I bet esp with Troy gone..if this is true.

Does'nt seem like enough for Brouwer. I like Brouwer for the right dollars but if he's looking for more than what the Hawks want to pay take the 2nd rnd pick. This draft is said to be pretty strong thru the 1st 50 players. Plus is'nt it time for 1 or 2 of the wingers in Rockford to make the team out of camp this year? Makorov, Morin, Beach.

I'm assuming Morin would be the first. Like to see Makarov get a chance, but I guess he didn't wow offensively in the AHL this past year. Same with Beach.

I think we actually made out well with this trade. Huge Brouwer fan, but for a 1st rounder... not bad.
