Draft Day Deals: Campbell to FLA, Brouwer to WSH

Well, perhaps what Brouwer wanted was not in the 'Hawks price range, so coming out with a late first rounder is not too shabby...or they have a strong eye on a prospect they want in the first round.



Brouwer will be missed, but he will fit in well with that Caps team and is someone the Caps can use (assuming they sign him)

I think we actually made out well with this trade. Huge Brouwer fan, but for a 1st rounder... not bad.

I am not upset about the pick at all. Just hate when groomed players and guys that I have great memories of are delt away. And I don't think last seasons evaluations on Troy were very fair. I think Q messed with his head and I think that shoulder injury really effected his abilities to contribute away from the puck. Think his work ethic will be missed. Hawks keep getting softer and and softer. They need to address that now along with the center position.

So far so good Stan. Brouwer is quality peoples but I think he's maxed out here---shoulder injury or no he's been give ample opportunity on different lines and the only one he can seemingly be productive on is with Toews-Kane and even that didn't work for him last season. I'll gladly take the Caps late 1st Rounder---seems more than fair.

honestly he's been having a great day...lucky that the great man that Dale Tallon is doesn't hold poor feelings though. Dale is stand up and is proving it again..even though Campbell is a good addition for his club also. Shocked that the Panther owners took that hit though.
