Trask and Jones will be overdrafted. I think Jones will be far better than Trask, IMO. Take a few minutes and look some more at Jones’ tape. His mechanics and placement are elite. I think he has a chance to be a very good QB.

I've watched a ton of both. They both have a chance to be good in the nfl.

They will def be overdrafted considering all the teams in the 20's needing qb's.

Round one has to be an OT unless Smith is Available at WR. Only way we get a QB is a trade or Trask/Lance slip to us at 2.

I agree they will both be gone by the end of the 1st. I just think Jones is the superior prospect.

If Pace/Nagy is back - I would almost prefer them to just attack the OL in the first and WR in the 2nd. Roll Foles (:rolleyes:) out there next season for 5-6 wins. Let the new GM/HC pick their QB in 2022. Quickest way back to relevance.

lol, the only thing waddle and ruggs have in common is speed.

Waddle is a much better prospect than ruggs.
I wrote that as well.

Smith is a better prospect than Jeudy too.

Do you actually read the posts you respond to?

I've been saying for a while tho that I'd franchise Arob and then trade #20 + next years first for #3 overall and then take zack wilson.

The dolphins need a WR for Tua.

That's funny that the dolphins are taking shitty pick #20 and only 1 more pick next year for #3 overall this year

You said they are better prospects.

The only thing ruggs and JW have in common is speed.

Waddle is a much better player. He had a better season as a freshman than ruggs ever had in college.

He was on pace to have a better season than Smith on half the targets. Literally no one could cover him. He was wide open on every play. The guy was going before smith if he didn't get hurt.

They would also be getting a top 10 WR in the league when they need one and are in win now mode.

Like I said, it might cost another 2nd or 3rd, but that deal gets your foot in the door.

I think Smith is a better prospect than Waddle is. I watched them play. I don't give a shit about college stats or being wide open on every play.

Yea, I mentioned that in the above post. Then I mentioned the only thing ruggs and waddle have in common is speed. So obviously you didn't watch them play.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Since it doesn't look like we are signing Trubs, it is looking alot like it will either be Mac Jones, Trask, or a slight trade down for Trask.
Don't get cute. Take your guy. Here's the problem. Everyone and his mother knows we need a QB and will jump us for a desired one. This will probably be the year Pace doesn't move and gets sloppy 2nds, lol.

I think Smith is a more polished route runner and more NFL ready than Waddle, similar to how Jeudy compared to Ruggs.

Are you arguing with that? I can't tell.

Fields will go in the top 5 certainly, but I think Wilson gets out of the top 5. If he does I think you gotta think of making a move to get him. If not then you've got to think of Jones (I don't like Trask), OT/WR, or maybe making small move up for Lance.

So in the 1st round I'm looking at QB/OT/WR.

No, I'm arguing the fact you are comparing Ruggs to Waddle.

Now evidently every speed WR is the same.

Got it.

That would be a dream, but I see them going 1,2,3.

The jets are gonna take fields, and then whoever wants wilson will trade for him at #3. My guess is san fran.

Can't see a way its not OT, tbh.
Not necessarily because its a need (though it is) but because it looks like some of the best players available come the twenties will be offensive tackles. Though I would not be surprised if its a wide receiver, the first-round wide receiver talent this year is comparable to last year's crop. Later rounds aren't as strong though.

I'm pretty sure the 49ers are going to test the veteran market and may dangle their pick to do so. They are talented all over the place and should be sensing next year as huge win-now opportunity.
