If you want to claim anyone who did drugs as a youth is unprincipled, well, then, go **** yourself. Who are you, Mother Angelica?

Get in line with all my other stalkersIf I so ever met him, I would slip a molly in his drink. Whoo, he sweating!
I've had my share of minor surgical procedures and I always try to get them to let me stay awake, not always successfully. I have always refused versed - amnestics interfere with recovery imo. What I've found is it's really hard to get them to agree to not knock you out, especially if you don't meet the anesthesiologist until five minutes before they take you into the OR. Seems like if they leave something out they might increase something else but not tell you. A couple years ago I had an umbilical hernia repair and they said they only gave me four mg of fentanyl but I was all the way out and pretty loopy in recovery. Also, when I had elbow surgery to repair a torn tricep I asked for nerve block in lieu of more general anesthesia and they hit the wrong nerve. Half my face went numb & I couldn't speak right at the moment the anesthesiologist was showing me the ultrasound screen shot "proving" he had hit the interscalene. This isn't what it sounds like. Well, I guess it is. I enjoy reading Erowid.
But also, last year I was given Versed/Midazolam for a surgical procedure and it fucked me right up for a good 3 months. Not only could I not remember anything from during the procedure (which is the point of it), but had memory lapses and the most vivid dreams of my life for those next 3 months, to the point that I couldn't shake the "ontological anxiety" of the dream for a good hour or more after I woke up (kept wondering if it was real).
What was your most intense, pleasant, or fucked up drug experience (legal or illegal)?
inb4 Omelet says "junkies" or sunbiz calls him a kike or me a whore and threatens someone.
I'm the same way. No anesthetic if I can avoid itI've had my share of minor surgical procedures and I always try to get them to let me stay awake, not always successfully. Broke my finger in half playing college football and had them do the surgery with a cuff and a local. Have had all my wisdom teeth, root canals and cavities done with no anesthetic. Dentist says he only remembers one other patient that wanted that.
I missed that oneWere u alive during the civil war?

True. When I was a kid I had a dentist that was incompetent. He put braces on my teeth and I wore them for 2 years. But he over tightened them and my mouth bleed all the time. I just got used to the pain and was able to block it out. Back then you just did what doctors told you and never questioned them. Neither did my father. I'm not bragging about this. It's just something I have developed over the years. Like I said root canals and wisdom teeth no pain killers**** that. Either you're bull shitting or I'll willingly admit your pain tolerance is like 10 x more than mine.
I opt for Bullshitting.... Root Canals are extremely painful. I'd have to see him get one sans anesthetic to believe it**** that. Either you're bull shitting or I'll willingly admit your pain tolerance is like 10 x more than mine.
Root canals are not painful unless you are a chick or the sensitive typeI opt for Bullshitting.... Root Canals are extremely painful. I'd have to see him get one sans anesthetic to believe it

The difference is she didnt have a choiceI love when guys make the "chick" comment when they think someone can't take pain. My mother in law's anesthesiologist fucked up on her third delivery... she had a c-section and felt the whole thing. Wonder how some of the tough guys on this message board would do if they had a baby cut out of their stomach with no pain killer? :crying:
