Apparently Carlos Lee isn't going to drag this out. Said he would like to have a decision by tomorrow.

We can hope, but the only explanations are teams think Soriano's knees are going to blow up at any point now and don't want to pay any cash or prospects for him. Or the Cubs want legitimate prospects back for eating all the cash. My guess is the first one.

cubs wont get legitimate prospects for him no matter what. even if he is a dh teams know he is a cum shot away from needing knee surgery. the only way he is dealt is if the cubs pay all and they get a zach stewart guy back.

I missed the part where I said this is what I thought would happen...

Instead my post was trying to explain why there is no market for Soriano when the Cubs apparently are willing to pay him to go away, and yet a guy like Carlos Lee who hasn't hit in four years is tradeable.

Not sure why Carlos Lee wouldn't want to go to LA. Gonna be contenders down the stretch. Houston not even winning very much.

The speculation is that he has a cattle ranch in Texas that is pretty successful and he has his priorities all messed up, but hey, it's his privilege

Weird. To think that he used to be my favorite player when he was on the Sox.

Thank goodness the Padres are blasting the Rockies right now, or else the Cubs might lose their hold on the #1 pick

So apparently the Dodgers are willing to take on all of what Carlos Lee is owed (9 million) and give up a prospect. Why would they do that for a guy that hasn't hit in 4 years?

Got Posey, Molina and Ruiz better

Melky LF when Braun is having MVP year

Jack Curry‏@JackCurryYES

When Matsui chased Jeter's foul ball into RF corner in 2d, it looked as if his left knee buckled. Rays just pinch-hit for him.

More Sori to TBR rumors be coming
