Sean Marshall, pitching for the first time in what seems like weeks, in a pitcher's park...first batter, game-tying home run.

Baseball is a cruel game.

Ryan Howard will start tonight. I think he gets a golden sombrero.

In most of his appearances Sean Marshall has been fine, but tonight he's having a Marmol moment.

chapman has an incredible arm, just wondering how long he can keep it the way it is without wearing down

don't know much about him really, does he have an injury history, and are the reds limiting his pitch count(i know for a guy like strasburg, the nationals are watching his pitch count closely, but that's partly because he actually has the injury history)

With a manager like Dusty Baker, his arm will be deflated in 2-3 years.

Looks like Victorino is going to be the first one out of Philly. Apparently he was scratched from the lineup due to pouting about batting 7th in the lineup.

Is it not a bad idea to replace a C with an OF?

I think so. But the ASG has an emergency catcher rule to allow a catcher to re-enter the game in the event of an injury so I guess they can get away with only two catchers.

The Reds limiting an injury-plagued, hard-throwing pitcher? Ummm, Dust-for-brains Baker is still their manager. There will be no protection for his pitchers!

Pretty amazing at how fast he's returned from that Achilles injury. I know all teams have injuries.... but NO team has the right to ***** about it like the Phillies have had this year. Howard and Utley gone until very recently. Lee's gone down. Worley went down. Halladay then went down. I mean, how does a team possibly survive when you lose the nucleus of your team for a couple of weeks, and all at the same time? Your two best players overall miss almost the entire first half!
