Fan Throws Banana at Flyers Simmons

This thread is going to get out of hand. Anyways heres my take on it. The banana should have never been thrown, I've been to a few other minor league arena's, as well as the metrocentre. No matter where it is you go, or even what you watch there are always going to be some idiots who do something for whatever reason.

Are there people who watch hockey because it is white dominated? probably so. There are probably others who do it with other sports. Those small amount of fans shouldn't ruin it for the true fans.

It's not even a close comparison. Hockey is way more predominantly white than basketball is predominantly black.

There are plenty more examples of white-on-black prejudice involved with organized hockey than there are of black-on-white prejudice involved with organized basketball.

It was incredibly racist just in principle alone. And the reason I'm upset is that I don't appreciate being called a racist earlier in the thread. So I explained my feelings, yet still am getting bombarded with moronic, snippy one-liners.

lol ive never met a single person that likes hockey because it a predominantly i white sport. people i know that like hockey like it because its the fastest most entertaining sport that exists. i guess you must hang out or around with alot of racists?

I think you're right that people probably don't like hockey just because it is predominantly white, but I know many people who don't like the NBA because it is predominantly black.

As if there are no fans like that in the U.S. I have already detailed in this thread my personal experience with one here in Illinois, and another of my friend's experiences.

I never singled out any of you in this group. You're a liar. My initial statement was vague and that of disgust and exclamation and I thoroughly explained it.
