You are 15? Damn! Let me look and see if its legal for 15 year olds to play fantasy sports in Illinois.....jk

I don't know what to say about that one, but the grown men in the league, I am trying to get through to them...

I am beginning to believe that the best option might be to have two leagues...a junior and senior league. There are a couple of reasons I feel this way. First, I am concerned about the possibility of young people being involved in anything with a pot or playing for a prize of any kind. Secondly, there are two starkly different opinions on finances in the league. I am one who wants a fantasy league totally funded and maintained by the owners of the league. All younger people and adults who are disinterested in a buy in can play in that league...for fun. That league would need a volunteer commissioner. I would have no problem helping structure the junior "fun" league. I think there are 6 dissenters to buying in on my online poll among the owners. 10 players can form a league, I would suggest that is the way we should go...what do you guys think?

Well as a dissenter and someone in the middle of the age spectrum between you guys I can get over a $10 buy in. I just never played for a fantasy league for money. I could go either way if you need someone to balance things out.

I want you to know that I am not trying to pressure you guys, I don't want you to think that, I want everybody involved to play. I am working on ways to make something happen, I really want it to be about you guys and this site, so I will need a little time....

If that is what you choose, count me in on the adult game. I'm 21 so the age isn't an issue.. also willing to spend up to $25. I appreciate you setting this all up, team illmatic is going to DOMINATE.

Ok, here is another idea...I am trying to include everybody, even the youngins...

I will put $100 of my own money into a sportsbook account, place bets and let it appreciate. If it goes to 0, so be it. If anyone wants to be charitable and chip in, so be it. I just want $100 to put into the account. I will bet on games on the account, and post all winnings and losses online either on a weekly or semiweekly basis. Hopefully the money will grow over the course of the year. Whatever is done with the money will be reported, for example, if some of the money is used for a prize then everyone will be privy to that information. What I would like help from EVERYONE in is to help with making picks, that way if there is no money left, everybody is not looking at me. Just give me your picks at your convenience. I will only bet on consensus or vast majority picks. Wagers will be placed on individual games, not on parlays...and will not wager anymore than $25/game. And we will stick to NBA basketball.

So everybody tell me what you think, this is for the first season only, by the way.

Okay...I need times available on the 17th and/or 18th between 12PM-1AM Atlantic time. Those days are Saturday and Sunday. So please all players send me your availability so we can get the inaugural draft going...If I get no response by September 11th...I will assume that people are not going to be involved and I will replace them with other owners who are ready to play. So again please give me all hours you are available between those hours I have given for BOTH days. Hopefully, things will go smoothly...

Thanks

And should I assume you mean between 12PM - 1PM? not AM right?

Either time I think works for me depending on how much I imbibed the night before. :silly:

Actually, I think he really means 1AM. We got players from Australia and stuff, so we got to accommodate them too.

Exactly, Australia, and one from Germany. I want them to be just as cognizant as anyone on U.S. soil, its the least we can do...plus the draft will take a couple of hours...its 90 seconds a pick.

Plus I am going to put on a wig and sportsjacket and give online play by play of the draft....just kidding...
