I like KISS more when other bands cover their songs (like Anthrax).

I can not stand youtube cover songs. I go on youtube trying to find an original song by the original artist and I get stuck with pages full of wanna be rock stars posting *** videos of themselves playing the song. So ***. Can't think of many things that are gayer other than youtube videos of grimson sucking ****....and there a lot of those on youtube also.

Always loved this when it came out. Toad the Wet Sprocket going 'Rock and Roll All Night' from the KISS MY ASS Tribute record:

And one of the best. Opeth doing 'Would' by Alice In Chains. If you don't know Opeth, you should probably die in a fire.

And more brilliance - one brilliant metal band covering another brilliant metal band - Opeth doing Celtic Frost's 'Circle of the Tyrants'

Post Modern Jukebox. Take your pick. I kind of like Puddles the best. Or the guy that did the "Stacies Mom" cover.

Favorite covers all time? Devo's cover of Satisfaction, BOC's cover of Kick Out the Jams, or maybe the Pixie's cover of Neil Young's Winterlong.

I hate Ween but their cover of 'The Shot Heard Round the World' - the song from Schoolhouse Rock - is fantastic. Really fucking fantastic.

As do I. That said, the last two entries in the Opeth discography are sad for me. They went full on Prog and I just don't like it.

The Blackwater Park, Deliverance, Damnation releases are beyond stellar - Harvest, To Rid The Disease, Windowpane and A Fair Judgment are pure masterpieces!

I here what your saying but I have great respect for those two albums because the band is always evolving. In a genre that gets stuck in rinse and repeat mode more often then not.

The Best Doors cover ever by the best industrial band ever:
Ministry - Roadhouse Blues: http://youtu.be/lDtXRxwYy8I

Or you can say Ministry - the ******y-est new wave band. 'With Sympathy' was a fruity tooty keyboard synth new wave record. Crazy how different their sound became after.

Was never a huge industrial guy. Some were more 'avant garde' like The Swans. Others were more early industrial/dance stuff like Front 242, Revolting Cocks and the other Wax Trax label stuff.

I loved the Revolting Cocks 'Big Sexy Land' record and ANYTHING from Front 242 - 'Quite Unusual' being my favorite song.

Both the best Industrial song? 'I Will Refuse' by Pailhead featuring Ministry's Al Jourgenson and Ian Mackaye from Minor Threat:

Oh, and if you like some of the new dance industrial stuff check out Santa Hates Me. The chick is REALLY hot.

Yeah, I think they lost something when they changed rythym section. The sound got more prog, but lost melody. Songs like the Lotus Eater have all the crazy prog stuff and death metal and even a disco bridge. What is missing is the brutality of Damnation and songs like Masters Apprentices or Advent or the super scary dark quality of songs Windowpage or Hope Leaves.

Even still, the best song they ever did was 'Benighted'.
