Are the first 2 seasons on Netflix? I thought the first 3-4 episodes of the first season was a snooze fest and lost interest.

Over/under 20 times Nick will daub on some blood and walk around unmolested by zombies...

I think the most cheese every used in TWD or FTWD is how FTWD takes the guts concept from TWD and then is like "Yeah it works perfect if you just paint ur face and shirt a little bit with their blood."

I lmao every time, I think the writers/producers know it and have been trolling fans..... this year Nick will just steal a hat off a zombie and it will render him immune.

So in TWD they have to cake themselves in blood and shit, but in FTWD they just need a little dabble on the face? lol Cali zombies are dumb!

Yeah pretty much.... it is mostly just Nick tho... he will smear some blood on his face and clothes and then apparently he is all set.

The whole concept behind the guts thing was it was nasty and labor intensive and if you were not super careful they would realize you were not zombie and try to eat you.... FTWD kinda punts that concept out the window.

Call me crazy but this season hasn't been so bad. Like the phoenix-like rise of Daniel (Travis gotta be dead, right?) and now some Cowboys and Indians during the Apocalypse.

I agree, this season has been good.... after Daniel I get the feeling Travis is gonna turn out to have been picked up by the Indian folks and healed.

Yup, was thinking the same type thing but did seem like a big fall from that chopper. 2 best characters imo.

Best streak of episodes this show has ever had. The stuff with the psycho brother is pretty interesting.

They needed some new and interesting characters.... Troy certainly gives the show an edge.

I do feel like I can guess what will happen and I hope I'm wrong.

1. Jeremiah will die, probably in a drunken idiot rage, get bit by a zombie maybe

2. Troy will kill Jake or have enough support to become Dictator of the ranch when Jeremiah dies

3. The ranch will be the site of a fierce battle, zombies and/or Walker (name irony?) attacking with his guys

4. Troy, Madison, Alicia, Nick, maybe Jake, and perhaps a few militia will survive and be scattered to the winds, their sanctuary destroyed.

5. We will all go "Gee where have I seen this happen before?"

Ancillary Notes
- Ophelia and Daniel will reunite
- Strand/Ophelia/Daniel will eventually meet up with one of the splinter groups that survives the ranch and help save the other group which has been captured by a bad group who lured them in with promises of safety.

If none of the above happens, Rick Grimes will show up to destroy their sanctuary himself screaming "IF WE CANT HAVE SAFE HAVEN IN FIRST 3 SEASONS DEN U NO GET IT EITHER"

This whole format of past/present being told to us in parallel seems like a bleh concept to me.

Also weird to see Nick in episodes after we just saw him die.... kinda downplays the moment a bit.

I am hoping it is just 1 more episode of this past/present "Omg wut happened to erbody? Where is Madison?" thing.... but I get the feeling this will persist for the entire fucking season.

For those of us with brains.... we know anyone in the present is in no danger in the past sequences, so it really undercuts any tension or drama you try to build.

Lastly... I feel like they want me to be really curious about what horror has befallen the baseball stadium camp.... and um... we know.... we've seen it happen to many camps already... Ima lmao if the big reveal is the camp never fell.... the Vultures just took Madison.

Not really to impressed with this story line.
Thinking logically, you may be right ares- the vultures swiped madison.

The group is fairly small. crafty, but small. their "wait it out" plan is weak. thinking of the possibilities, they seem limited.

1- The vultures are 2 or 3 times larger than the people in the lot. They wait for the right time and attack.

2- They start picking off scavengers as they go on runs... the "every time someone leaves" statement seemed like a veiled threat. eventually wait till enough people are out and attack.

3. lead a horde in.... but not a good call on the vultures part- it makes the looting exponentially more difficult. Yes- they have a knack for trapping walkers... but the risk is pretty high.

All in all, I will have a hard time accepting the logic of this story.
The Vultures are starving the stadium out... the provisions will be non-existent by the time they go in.

If it is weapons they want, the return will be minimal. If the stadium were well stocked with weapons (like the fake grave last night)... the stadium should be able to wipe the vultures out from a defensive position. If they are unable to, then that means the weapons were scarce. no return for the vultures ploy.

It is not the stadium itself they want.

So what the **** is the point? If they were surprisingly stronger than they appear, they would already own the stadium and all that is in it.
If they are just the group in the lot, they are pathetic and stupid and should be wiped out.... esentially banking on starving out the stadium to gain......what exactly?

With the information we have thus far, it is a pointless blockade with no victory for either side available.

..... unless..... the vultures are playing a long game with another goal in mind. Trapping and logging the number of trapped dead in points all over the map....marked with their flags.... they intend on building a massive horde for some as of yet unknown purpose. perhaps the goal is to turn the stadium in to another dead storage facility.

There has got to be a goal for the vultures they have not told us yet. Otherwise the story is dumb as hell.

Think they do the past/present thing to confuse the whole time issue w/Morgan crossing over.

The whole issue about fighting over and/or just staying at the stadium when it is no longer conducive to what they were looking for is ridiculous. Plenty of stadiums in that same state if you don’t want to share one and a million other places you can go off to for another camp setting.

I don't think the issue was the Vultures wanting the stadium.

They want you to give up your stuff and join/die it seems.

If you don't give up and join/die they scavenge the area around you that has been supplying you, starve you out, and in the end take your stuff and go elsewhere to do it again.

It is a Special person short-sighted plan that is even worse than The Saviors.... they at least had Kingdom and Hilltop giving tribute, although they also did nothing to try to keep their tributaries in a situation where they could easily provide said tribute.

If you want to lord over people and make them give you stuff, they need to be producing stuff to give you.... which means they need to be in condition to produce stuff... even feudal lords in the middle ages knew this....

I responded to Spartan before I read this... but yeah everything you said I will 2nd.

The only thing you didn't consider as a reason to blockade and starve them out is if you want to poach the strongest/best to join the Vultures and the only way you see to do that is to starve them out and/or make them give up the settlement and disperse... in either case you may be able to force or coerce the strongest survivors to join you.

It still seems very odd... if the idea is to eventually piece together a mega horde they can direct at a target that would be interesting, but again odd.

If you need a mega horde to use as a weapon against an enemy.... head towards any major/medium sized city.... 99% of the population is now zombie.

But if they gloss over that and the plan is to combine all that into a mega horde, it would be... interesting.... what kind of enemy is such that you need to throw a mega horde at it..... another Saviors group?
