You avoided the football strategy question. You brought up routes and can't discuss them when questioned

Then you avoided the JF passing and running for TDs last season to the
tune of 30+ points / game. While the defense squandered leads.

Can you run the numbers and let me know how you got to 30+ppg from the bears last year....would love to see the attempted spin on that one.

And i haven't avoided anything....they give him quick hitting timing routes (he's not a timing passer)....they flood zones with 1-2 reads....and guys are either spaced poorly and/or fields doesn't throw it on time.

They give him deep crosses or outs and guy usually won't let it go in advance of seeing someone open.

If he played like he did vs wash/denver.....two pretty poor d.....vs those being one-offs; you'd have a different story....but he came out vs minn and looked exactly like he has his entire career...awful in the pass game and leading a disjointed offense.

There was a 7 game stretch last yr where JF put up 30 + points. The defense gave it back.
But I get it, You don't like JF as a Qb.....regardless of the positives. And there are specific routes that aren't used with JF.
U brought up routes , but refuse to discuss them by name. That's cool

You left out the INTS. Who threw more INTS

Thus far Bagent has an INT rate of 0.05 on 96 attempts - while Fields had an INT rate of 0.04 on 50 attempts. So - pretty equal all things considered - which is on par for any rookie QB really. So - it looks like equal in that category with Bagent the clear frontrunner in TDs, yards, and completion percentage.

First 3 games....Bagent threw more INTS. than JF. But you don't like JF. I get it

I think it was a 4 game stretch starting with the Patriots and ending with the Detroit game. They did put up 27 the following week against ATL tho.

First 3 games...Bagent has thrown for more yards, more TDs, higher completion percentage, and less sacks.

To the bolded part - as the great Khabib Nurmagomedov would say "Brahther, this number 1 bullshit" - I like Fields - he is a good kid and freaking great athlete. He is going to make Taysom Hill seem like an afterthought to most once he settles into the right RB/WR/Slash role for an offense in the league. Hopefully ours next season brother!

Like, do you know how messed up it is that Fields has managed 220+ passing yards SIX times in his entire career? Bagent has now done it twice in three starts. That's fucked up.
Bc Fields sucks. He's proven it over and over. It fucking sucks but he's ultimately the one responsible for letting the Bagent Mania run amuck.

Bagent, Fields, they both aren't cutting it. End of story.

I wrote about when it happened. I'd have to look for it. There was a stretch where JF was a period where balling out but the D was faltering. Yeah....he was avg, 2-4 TDs / game(y). If I can find that post, I'll share it.

On pace for over 4k yards and 37 touchdowns and 15 interceptions prior to the injury. 👍
That is like saying Mitch was on pace for 32 TDs after that TB game. Not a chance brother!

Also, keep in mind that Fields biggest deficiencies as a QB directly correlate to his current injury status! Sacks result in the highest rate of injuries for QBs out of all play outcomes (obviously) and Fields, the most explosive athlete at the QB position in the NFL today (sorry Lamar), has an insanely high sack rate! How could the best athlete at the position get sacked so much? That is freaking bonkers brother!

So, even if he had been playing consistently great football in 2023 before the injury (lets face it - he was back to looking like a total fecal explosion against MIN just as he was before his two 15 minute of fame games) is that a guy who you'd invest into? He has missed time in all three seasons thus far.

Hell yes brother - I am glad you seem to agree - and kudos to you for not taking that long to come around to looking at the stats and making the decision. I know it's tough when some of our favorite players completely fucking bust like Fields did - it gets pretty depressing but the coolest part for us Bears fans is we had a little football angel in Tyson Bagent show up at our front door. Go Bears!

Hell yes, I agree. As a matter of fact that I actually said that first. But no big deal let us not get caught up in the minutiae - I am just glad you agree with that.

In theory yes.,....dude still needs to get rid of the ball and struggles with progression of route tree......he already had the longest time from snap to thrown in the leauge.

If the OC called plays, "#1, #2, dink/dunk" like he did with Bagent Fields would have a shorter time to throw.

What you are complaining about is the OC wanting longer to develop plays with Fields than he trusted with Bagent.

Whether Fields has bad timing, lack of trust and is generally blind to open players is a whole other topic. But as far as time to throw that's mostly the play caller or only known between the play caller and the QB. It is not something you or any talking head is privy to. So just stop with that dumbass PFF stat.
No player in the NFL is faster than 10yds in 1 second. Any QB getting rid of the ball fast is throwing short.

The sample size I referenced is 6 games this year. That's 5 more games than the 1 game sample size you referenced for Trubisky. 👍

I'm not your brother. 👍
