It really wouldn’t be that big a deal unless you’re absolutely heart set on the first pick overall. Bears would still have pick 2&3 which is where they are today.
(Panthers have played one less game so they’d have to catch up in a loss. But of the teams with 2 wins Bears & Carolina would have lowest SOS)

What's weird to me is the different standards to Fields vs. Bagent. Fields threw 3 picks and lost two fumbles vs Tampa as a rookie. Was that it for him? Why is Bagent expected to not make mistakes as a rookie? He has run the offense better than Fields ever has. Which is more an indictment of Fields than praise for Bagent.
It's just weird that as soon as he struggles against a good defense on the road it proves he sucks, but Fields can suck for 2+ years outside of.like 5 games and people still think he just needs more support or better coaching? It doesn't make any sense.
For whatever it's worth, neither one is a starting QB in my opinion. But Bagent is a small.school undrafted rookie an for some reason a large part of the fan base has decided he has zero leeway. Fields can stand in the pocket taking stupid sacks misreading defenses and it's just part of the process?

Like, do you know how messed up it is that Fields has managed 220+ passing yards SIX times in his entire career? Bagent has now done it twice in three starts. That's fucked up.

This is just stupid gamesmanship loser teams play to try to get any sort of advantage that might make them remotely competitive. "Oh, Fields might play, now we've got to prepare for TWO quarterbacks . . ." Many teams do this but it's usually bad ones without much chance of victory, and when they do they don't carry the charade so far that they trip themselves up trying to explain themselves to the media. Bears are so dumb it's funny . . .

Agree with virtually everything you said (only part I disagree with is I think Bagent looks like a certain starting QB in the future)
You are correct in that there is a glaring disparity in how most posters here are willing to grade Bagent's first starts versus Fields' rookie season. Fields was a total dog-shit machine is rookie season from a QB perspective. He had IHSA passing stats - whereas Bagent is already putting up respectable numbers through the air. Can't wait to see further development from Tyson. Go Bears!

Fields 31 game body of work is horrific; unless there is a magical 7 game stretch to end the season he's not gonna be here next year (and even then; he's likely gone)
