I think Justin Fields will have overall underwhelming stats.
He’ll show flashes, but also struggle quite a bit with sacks, holding onto the ball, and accuracy issues. He will not have very many yards or TDs.
It will look like a second rookie year.
Fans will then say that we can’t truly count this year in our evaluation of him, since he didn’t have anyone to throw to or anyone protecting him, despite many of those same fans being completely on-board with an offseason plan that included very little on the O-Line or receiving corps.
Bears will finish 6-11, give or take a game. The refrain will be, “NEXT YEAR, we’ll get a true sense of Justin Fields.”
