No moderating in this matter, if Dewey has put down the dero-like serve, I don't want either of you getting all sassle-frazz about "he did this" or "he said this"

I've put my name out there & have gotten 1 interview since July 2008.

She acts like I haven't put an effort in. I have.

I've tried places by my house & nothing is really available.

I may keep getting egged on til I finally land a job.

Oh yeah, I also filled out an application to a new grocery store across the street from where I go to karate.

Thought I had a chance to finally land one. Unfortunately no again..

How many applications have you turned in 3 years?

I am expecting this answer to be in the 100's. If it's anything less, you're just being lazy and suck.

My youngest sister keeps calling me a lazy ass for not having a job.

She thinks they're gonna just hand me one.

Really hope someone out there can help me land a job.

Just so I can get away from her annoying ass.

I know this economy is tough but I have no choice.

Are you hitting your sis at 2AM on weeknights?...

...Ever thought about some education/career training?.

I know i'm far from the only one being unemployed.

Just sucks that I can't make my own money.

Hoping for some luck. If/when it happens, it'll be a relief.

Welp, since I'm clearly on ignore here, I'm going to go ahead and just tell someone to quote me so CaptainCawks here can see that it makes no sense to whine about it day after day on here, but instead actually do something about it.

Get on craigslist and send some emails. Have Dewey make you a resume. Get a bike, since you can't drive, and ride in a 15-20 minute radius and ask to speak to managers about their current openings and availability.

I suspect that you just expect shit to be handed to you on a silver platter, that you're not actually putting in any real effort. There were straight up days that I would be out with dozens of resumes from 10 am until 5-6 pm just walking around filling out apps and talking with mangers and stuff.

And seriously, 99% of the time it's going to be in vain, but whining about it and making threads about it once a week isn't going to do anything, either.

SOMEONE QUOTE THIS SO HE CAN SEE IT.

Are you turning in a resume at each place? If you are maybe re-work the wording and that.

Make sure to make yourself available to work at any time. I get called in once or twice a week because I'm doing nothing else.

SOMEONE QUOTE THIS SO HE CAN SEE IT. Done.

Check your local online newspaper's website, they have classified ads, and job providers will post online now more than print.

Illinois Workforce Development System Home Go search around here for assistance in finding work.

Start small, people think they need $100,000K a year jobs right away, but reality is most jobs start at $8.00 an hour anymore. If you really want a job, you're going to have accept that pay, bust your ass to get a raise, and a promotion.

I am a manager at FedEx Express here in Indy. Before I got into management I was throwing boxes out of the back of a truck with a blind guy. I have 2 employees who are deaf and I have to communicate with them through an interpreter. I have 3 employees who are autistic as ****. The point being is that they all have jobs at a Fortune 100 company, and from what I have heard of your disability you can do this shit too.

I don't know where you actually live in Chicago, but I know there is a big ass FedEx Express sort facility at ORD. I am sure there are multiple truck sort stations all throughout the Chicagoland area. FedEx is hiring all the time... you will probably have to start off as a part time employee, but part time employees at FedEx get full time benefits and make pretty good money. Buy your time and there might be full time opportunity open for you.

Yeah no kidding.

How does one support themselves being out of work for 3 years anyway?

That's a load of shit. I was layed off 7 months ago and have been working my ass off to get a job. Atleast 20 interviews and hundreds of applications/resumes sent in. I have 4 executives using their network looking for a job, including my father, who is a CEO, and STILL nothing has turned up.

Don't take a situation like this lightly. And please don't talk out of your ass.

If you spent 7 months applying at Fast Food jobs and couldn't get one, you don't deserve to work anyway.

CODE is obviously not talking about well-paying/career jobs. We're discussing a job just to the bills covered.
