2[34] OT Conor McDermott [UCLA]

3[66] TE Jordan Leggett [Clemson]

Do not over think it, this draft is about getting the next QB and making sure he is successful.

Hey Windy do you think Kizer has jumped to the top of the QB's coming out?? He's getting a lot of love.

I'm not opposed to releasing Cutler and then drafting two QBs and letting them battle it out.

We do have some good young talent on the team but do we have enough to use two high round picks on QB's is the question?? And do we have enough young talent to give up a couple of first round picks and more to move up in the draft if we have to to get a top QB? I'd say yes to the 2nd question of moving up cause this absolutely has to be the draft that we get our future QB.

If we could get a HC that had a strong QB background I would fire Fox without thinking twice.

I think we all should know that J.Fox isn't getting fired no matter what our record is this year so it's not even real to think about who will replace him and even Loggains deserves more of a chance then 2 games especially with him having J.Cutler as his QB and now with Hoyer and how bad our o-line has been which in turn the running game has also been bad. The o-line will come together once these guys get some time playing together and with that our running game should also get better especially running up the middle behind Sitton, Long and Whitehair.

This thread didn't take long to go from choosing one of the 3 options in the original post link for next years draft to talking about how bad we are and how we fix it.

#2 would be incredible IMO.

A real defensive stud in Myles Garrett. Plays like a bigger Demarcus Ware. Falk doesn't have out of this world measurables, but the intangibles and sociopathic approach to win the game are there.

Pretty much okay with all of these except #3. Not hating on Robinson as a player, but I think QB/RB/CB are bigger needs(And specifically RT on the line).

I think when he comes in at 6'5" 240lbs he will. More of a prototype physically than Watson.

Hopefully we can get one of the top 3 coming out in Kizer, Watson or Kaaya.

Not to give the O Line a pass but the blocking assignments have been terrible at who picks up the blitzing LB,CB or safety or handling stunts. I've noticed the linemen blocking who is on them but there is no one around to pick up the blitz. JC doesn't seem to be able to recognize the blitz. The OC should have a better design to block what has been killing the Bears O.

Would be a great pick.

Everything next offseason needs to be about ensuring success of the young QB.

In my world that could include coaching changes as well.

Hire Josh McDaniels

Draft:
1. DeShone Kizer
2. Jake Butt

Boom. Would be a perfect start.

I like your guys' genius idea to throw a rookie into the fire right away.

The Bears would re-sign Hoyer.

Rookies start, this should not be mind blowing for anyone.

I want the Bears to draft a QB that can start within his first two years in the league. If he is there at our pick, I hope we pounce on him (whether it is Watson, Kizer or Kayaa). We also need to pair the QB with a quality TE. I dont care where we draft him, but a TE that can be a mismatch in the middle of the field is the best safety valve you can give a young QB.

That is all I can expect out of the draft concerning the offense. Sure it would be nice to upgrade along the line, but it is foolhardy to expect every pick to be a starter. Massie may have to start another year.

Good point, it isn't like there isn't some recent history of rookies starting in the NFL and having success.

Thoughts on this?

1st Round: DeShone Kizer – Quarterback – Notre Dame

2nd Round: O.J. Howard – Tight End – Alabama

3rd Round: Julie’n Davenport – Offensive Tackle – Bucknell
