Remy was also the guy that didn't want the Bears to make a play for Jim Harbaugh because Remy was not convinced that Harbaugh could win a the NFL level.

Incorrect. I did not want Harbaugh because

1. I dont like his offense.
2. I think he is an asshole.
3. He had coached in the NFL for over 10 years.

He had proven that 3 is not an issue bit still dont like him due to 1 and 2.

So if we were to use the old search function there’d be no comments of you saying that he wasn’t a winner or couldn’t win in the NFL? Is that what you’re saying here?

Surely you never said that and you aren’t disingenuously representing the argument you made in point 3 now that it is clear the chargers are doing well…. Right?

I have consistently made my comments about flus and you are the one moving goalposts to comment on ‘the season.’

I bring the comments always back to the original point I’ve made for months now about the team giving up on this staff, and when I try to get back to the original point that I made I’m ‘moving the goalposts.’

?????????

Like I said, just take your L. You’ve had several positive flus comments over the last few days let alone weeks. There’s no spinning your way out of this completely moronic take. Eat your L and move on.

No you lied.

@remydat creates a thread today doubling down on the team not quitting on the coach lmao what a buffoon

I did not create a thread about players not quitting on Flus. The OP in that thread said they havent quit on the season. 2 different things.

The proof they havent quit on the season is the last 3 weeks they have gone toe to toe with 3 playoffs.

I have no idea why you feel the need to lie about what was said beyond you have no rebuttal to what I actually said.

You just said like 2 pages back that you think they should of waited until after the season.

Try to comprehend. I said below that Inorefer they wait until after the season but that best time to do it is after the Lions. So nothing inconsistent there.

I prefer Brown be 100% focused on the offense and Caleb but if I fire Flus it is after the Lions game so Brown has the mini bye to transition.

It also only makes sense to do it if you are seriously considering him for HC. If not and you going to fire Flus and co regardless then let him just focus on OC.

SF was 10 years ago and largely predicated on run game and defense. He ran the ball like 150-200 times more than he passed with both Alex Smith and CK.

His success in college is also predicated on running more than he passes. He ran more despite having Andrew Luck and despite having McCarthy who was drafted in tbe first. It remains to be seen if he can succeed in the modern NFL as he is ultra conservative on offense. He also is running more than he passes despite having Herbert.

Should also be noted that he lost multiple years in college until the one year coaches under him were found to have engaged in their own version of Spygate.

There is obviously a good chance he can adjust to the NFL after being gone 10 years but there is no guarantee. And personally I would prefer someone more dynamic in the 0assing game.

Who is the assistant HC right now? If I were Brown, I'd lean heavily on the assistant HC to shoulder some of the load during these remaining 5 weeks and allow Brown maximal time with the offense, because that's really the only thing that matters right now. Wins and Losses don't. If Brown gets the HC job, it'll be because of how the QB looks.

No one has said that.

Harbaugh is a run first coach who may be too conservative for today's NFL. No one has a rebuttal to that argument so they are creating strawmen that they can rebut like arguing against the idea that Flus is better than Harbaugh which no one actually said.

My argument against Harbaugh is as follows.

1. His success in the NFL was 10 years ago and predicated on running the ball and D. I do not think that is a good fit for Williams. If we had kept Fields then I could see Harbaugh as he and Greg Roman have had success in the NFL with running QBs.

2. Think he has a massive ego and is an asshole. He doesn't play well with others and he completely threw his staff under the bus regarding the taping scandal. Imagine talking about accountability and then hiring a coach who oversaw a massive illegal taping scandal and then blamed ir all on low level assistants.

3. The more personnel power he had in SF the worse their drafting became.

I said he hadn't won (meaning a title) in the NFL or NCAA until the cheating scandal.

I did not say he couldnt win games in the NFL if by that you mean make the playoffs. I simply said after 10 years we dont know for sure if he can still win.

He clearly has shown thus far that he can still win in the NFL and resolved that point. I still question whether his and Roman's offense can win a title as Roman repeatedly stalled in the playoffs with Lamar.

Yes, Flus is a raging asshat who needed to go. Especially for sitting on that timeout and terrible time management.

But shouldn't a majority of the blame go to Caleb on that last play?

Can't argue with that. But even a rookie could have seen this coming, no?

If you really believe that you should just go away and not follow any sports.

Remember Williams on the sideline freaking out over something on defense Flus was being clueless about?
He obviously has a good football head on his shoulders.

So do you expect the QB to do the HC and OC's jobs too? A rookie QB no less.

You expected Williams to call a faster to develop play as OC? You wanted Williams to tell the OC to call a faster to develop play?
You really don't understand the chain of command do you?

@TheEarlofRobin

Thanks for providing. So I said.

1. So I said he was a run first coach which is still true in the NFL as Chargers have one of highest run vs pass ratios in NFL. Said it was not a good fit for Caleb but a better fit if we had kept Fields.

2. I said he didnt win until the cheating scandal in reference to winning a title.

3. I also clearly said there is obviously a GOOD CHANCE HE CAN ADJUST TO THE NFL AFTER BEING GONE FOR 10 YEARS.

4. I said he has a massive ego and doesnt play well with others.

5. I said the more personnel power he got in San Fran the worse they drafted.

So @SugarWalls is incorrect. At no point did I claim he can't win in the NFL. I said whether he could after 10 years is open but I clearly said there is still a good chance that he can.

So thanks for proving my point.

I fully expect a Heisman award 1st pick to have the field awareness to call a time out on his own, KNOWING his HC is a raging asshat. Do SOMETHING. Get the ball out of his snappers hands.
