Right, but hitting on that many picks in such a short span is unusual.Helps to have a HOF DT and hit on a bunch of draft picks still on their rookie deals.

I thought they were done. But they don’t win this SB without Spags.pretty entertaining watching the 180 folks are doing with the chiefs right now. just a couple months ago the chiefs were "done" and not that good. now here they are the super bowl champs again and people think they are the best thing since sliced bread again
Its why I was honestly scratching my head earlier in the playoffs when the Caleb Williams people were pounding their chests that CJ Stroud took an understaffed Texans roster to the playoffs and got a win.
I mean, that's nice and all, but I thought the goal was to win Super Bowls?
It's why I find the people who think a QB can solve all issues are high on their own shit. One look at either Super Bowl team, and shit, even at the 4 teams in the Championship games to go to the Super Bowl, and you can tell the Bears are still really deficient in talent when it comes to those teams. A mythical QB doesn't solve those issues. In fact, the argument can be made that those QBs become mythical BECAUSE they also have great talent around them to make incredible plays or allow them to make incredible plays. It's almost like *gasp* football is a team sport.
My only point being, even if the Bears draft Williams, they have a lot of holes to fill, and honestly, are likely still 2-3 drafts away from being at that level. It's why the 'haul' is so attractive to many of us - it represents an opportunity to close the gap in a single year rather than being 2-3 away. And Brock Purdy is proof you don't need a God-mode QB to compete in a Super Bowl (if this were played under last years' rules, the 49ers would be the champs, I believe?) - you need an elite defense that can shut down the other team's God mode QB...

Reports are coming out now that they will do whatever they can to keep him. Used to be that they were going to let him walk.Which gets to a point I’ve made for years. Depth is important …. But having a few true blue chip difference makers is most important. The Chiefs change huge portions of their roster every year. But 3 guys stay the same. (Which is while I will be SHOCKED if CJ hits free agency)

Chiefs also had a top D this year. That said 9ers were #3 in points allowed so it could be argued that a top QB beats a top D. MVP!
I think most know this.
Yes I know you can find a few that don’t. But most will.
And yes…. You don’t need a “god mode” QB. But it sure helps. And if Poles thinks one is potentially there it surely makes sense to take your shot right?

This is all for certain. What is also for certain is that a blocked extra point let a FG take the game into overtime, instead of one last play in the 4th quarter. And the kicker wasn't just 4/4, but also succeeded on a 57 yard kick. This game was a fantastic SB.While that is true, Pacheco's fumble in the red zone was 3pts they lost at least. Small plays like that are forgotten. Mahomes had 399 yards of total offense. This wasn't like Big Ben's 1st Super bowl win. Mahomes looked pedestrian in the 1st half but the 2nd half and overtime he was vintage Mahomes. He was never going to hang 30+ on the 9ers. I think we've gotten used to big play Mahomes. He is maturing and is able to be patient now and slowly pick teams apart.

I know a lot of people want to go “offense heavy” this draft but they’re so close on defense I’d love to see Poles finish it.Very positive development. The message board is uniting around defense

Kinda crazy how the Chiefs managed to put an elite defense together while paying Mahomes, and so quickly too.
What are the odds? It’s almost as if you need both?

Don’t forget safety as EJ is gone.Really they only need 2 more players to finish the D imo. Interior pass rusher and Edge. I would lean towards addressing both in FA if you can and essentially pair a more veteran D with a young developing O by using the draft on the offensive side.
Part of that is because I think FA is better on D this year at Edge and 3T pending franchise tag decisions.
They need to re-sign Sneed as well. But that would give them enough to do that pretty easily. Could probably mess with so yuu could keep Thuney even.Cut Thurney, Reid and MVS and that gets them 60m in cap. Can then re-sign Jones and still have 30m to spend.
