So you'd be rigging the draft or forcing the CPU to accept lopsided trades eh?Jordan
G. Payton
Pippen
Rodman
Noah
That'd be my team.

Depends on how many legends you put in there. From what I remember of the first round (I sped up the draft as much as I could) Lebron was actually the #1 pick followed by MJ and then I took AI at #3. Pippen was a first rounder, albeit a mid late one. Payton was gone way before then as well. I think Noah was my 3rd round pick and Rodman (I had the Pistons version) was still on the board at that point as well. He was definitely gone by the next time I picked though.lol, how many of them were picked higher? I guess w/ 30 teams, Pippen's a fringe first rounder...Rodman in the 2nd?

Basically, the CPU likes to pick by highest overall rating (for obvious reasons) and by the 3rd round hardly anyone was above an 83 overall. Anyone with a 90+ was a first rounder and I don't believe any team has more than one 90+ rated player in my chise. Your success of getting certain players depends on where you pick just like in fantasy sports...assuming you do a snake draft like I did.
If you like depth over guys with huge ratings that would probably work out in your favor actually. #20 isn't a bad spot. I just went with a top pick because I wanted a choice of star to build around.I'd only do a snake draft if I was a later pick. I'm shitty like that.

Yeah. won't let me use historical teams...just a standard fantasy draft.
Bulls fans got their first taste of new acquisitions Earl "the pearl" Monroe, Hersey Hawkins, and Gary Neal as the Bulls took on Larry Bird and the Boston Celtics. Early on it seemed like the Bulls were struggling with their new point guard at the reigns. Bird and the Celtics appeared ready to take the lead before the Bulls got back on track. Monroe got off to a slow start, missing several early shots and the offense seemed out of rhythm. However, Monroe seemed to find himself and finished the game with 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists, showing his proficiency on the fast break. Paul Pierce, who also struggled early on shooting just 5-14 from the floor, was able to pick up his game in the 4th quarter to finish with 20 points. However, it was John Williams who was the Bulls' constant factor offensively. Williams was an astounding 10-11 from the field and finished with 21 points and 8 rebounds, providing offense for the Bulls where there frequently was none. The Bulls also got a boost off the bench from Nick Collison, who had 12 points and 5 rebounds in 14 minutes. Larry Bird led 5 Celtics in double figures with 33 points, but the Celtics struggled to find offense outside of Bird late and could not contain the attacks of both Allen Iverson and Paul Pierce down the stretch.
"It'll take some getting used to, sure," said Monroe of playing with his new team. "but we got a great group of guys here who know how to win. I think we can make something special happen here. I'm looking forward to playing with AI and Paul and the rest of the guys."
"I'm willing to do whatever coach wants me to do," said Hawkins when asked if he was disappointed that he would be coming off the bench in Chicago as opposed to starting in Los Angeles. "At the end of the day I want to win. I was starting in LA and we weren't winning. Here, I came off the bench and we won. I know it's a small sample size, but if it works I'm not going to complain. I know how I can contribute to the team regardless of whether I'm playing off the bench or starting."
The Bulls also got their first taste of Bill Walker, who was activated following the trade earlier in the week. Walker had 2 points and 8 rebounds in 14 minutes, but shot just 1-5 from the field.
"We're getting a feel for how these new guys will fit into our schemes," said Tom Thibodeau. "With Earl, we have another great playmaker and scorer like Allen. I think those two will play together really well once they get to know each other's spots. Hersey's one of the best shooters the game has ever seen. He'll be able to fit in regardless of where or when we play him. Gary's another guy who can really shoot it. He'll have to pick his spots, but we feel like he'll be a good contributor as well."
The Bulls will host Shaquille O'Neal and the Seattle Supersonics on Sunday.
The Bulls have trouble containing teams with dominant post players. Fortunately, despite Seattle's twin towers of Shaquille O'Neal and Brook Lopez, the Bulls were able to squeak by using their quickness. The quickest player on the floor, Allen Iverson, spearheaded the Bulls' high paced offense, pushing at every opportunity. Iverson finished the game with 22 points and 6 assists while Paul Pierce added 21, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists. Hersey Hawkins also added 18 points and 2 steals off the bench. Though the Supersonics dominated the glass and the Bulls had no answer for Shaq, who scored 24 points, their turnovers enabled the Bulls to use their speed. The Bulls got 10 steals on the night while only turning the ball over 5 times themselves, leading to easy baskets for Iverson and others in transition.
"We've got to play bigger inside," said Tom Thibodeau. "It seems like Joakim is there by himself at times. John's only getting like 4 or 5 rebounds...that's just not enough. We've got some of our smalls getting in there and grabbing boards, but overall, we need our bigs to crash the boards more."
"We're not a small team," said Iverson. "We've got guys who are good rebounders. Jo's obviously one of the best in the league. Nick's a known scrapper. Paul gets in there on the boards. The guards are getting in there and trying to grab some of the longer rebounds...we've just got to do a better job of beating our guys to the ball."
The Bulls will square off against the Los Angeles Clippers, a team sporting a backcourt of Monta Ellis, Andre Iguodala, and Lebron James, in their next game.
Both teams came out of the gates guns blazing as the Clippers hosted the Bulls on Saturday night. Allen Iverson and Earl Monroe were hot early, giving the Bulls an early 1st quarter lead. However, the quick hands of Monta Ellis and Andre Iguodala gave the Clippers easy transition baskets and the Bulls found their early 10 point lead shrink to just 4 by halftime. Lebron James powered the Clippers all night, dropping a huge triple double of a game high 40 points, 11 rebounds, and 17 assists and eventually led the Clippers to a 2nd half lead late in the 3rd quarter after hitting Ellis for a layup for 2 of his 28 points. However, the Bulls were resilient even in the midst of the Clippers' run. Strong bench play led by Hersey Hawkins (16 points, 4 assists) and Gary Neal (14 points, 1 steal, 1 block) coupled with some energy plays from Bill Walker (5 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists) gave the Bulls starters the rest they needed to close out the game. Iverson (34 points, 8 assists) and Paul Pierce (28 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists) were seemingly unstoppable in the overtime period. A late 3 by Pierce pushed the Bulls out to a 4 point lead and Iverson made every free throw down the stretch to seal the game.
However, despite the Clippers' lack of size inside, their starting frontcourt of Cliff Robinson and Ryan Anderson combining for just 9 rebounds, the Bulls still found themselves struggling to keep the Clippers off the offensive glass.
"I'm not sure what it was," said Tom Thibodeau, who was visibly frustrated with every offensive rebound. "Yeah they're an athletic team, but that's not an excuse for not boxing out. The rebounding has got to improve. Our defense means nothing if the other team just gets second chance points."
Tom Thibodeau's request for more rebounding was granted in the form of a trade. The Bulls sent F John Williams and G Hersey Hawkins to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for rebounding specialist F Dennis Rodman and defensive specialist G Doug Christie.
"We feel this was a necessary trade to make and the right move for our team moving forward," said Bulls GM Gar Forman. "We were sad to let those guys go, but from a holistic perspective, we feel that Dennis and Doug can help our team improve even more. We do lose a little bit on the offensive end, but we feel that the defense these two players provide will more than make up for that difference."
Rodman and Christie are both expected to be inserted into the starting lineup with Rodman replacing Williams' spot at starting PF while Earl Monroe moves to the bench with Allen Iverson sliding over to the PG position.
"We're very confident in both these players," said Forman. "Doug's an underrated offensive player. He can hit the three, he can get out in transition, he can handle it. He's also obviously a great defender. We feel he can add a lot to the team on both ends of the floor and give us versatility in the backcourt. Dennis is one of the best, if not the best, rebounders the game has ever seen. He's relentless in his pursuit of the ball. Defensively, he should give Tom a player who can guard anyone whom he wants to guard. We're thrilled to have him on the team."
Both players will be in uniform for the Bulls' next game against the Sacramento Kings.
I know. Isn't it awesome? :elephant:Supersonics? Hawkins? Monroe? DOUG CHRISTIE!?
