The jersey must not have been selling well. Teams don't discontinue jerseys just because they stop liking them. There had to have been dismal sales for them.

Which is wy I'm kinda shocked the WC-style 3rd jerseys weren't discontinued by the 'hawks. The record in them has been less than stellar (especially compared to the Blacks).
Actually, no it wasn't....
From an affiliate of mine in Columbus, I've been told the players refused to wear them any longer... After being 0-4 in them, some of them thought it was cursed...
You know hockey players and curses....
You should all listen to fluffy, he's an expert.
I believe you - but if those things were also selling heavily (i.e. $$$$) you can bet someone would have put up a stink when the players said they didn't want to wear them.
Do we have any actual evidence of them selling well other than Supra rambling about them?
Superstition or not, John Browne, the club’s new senior vice president in charge of sales and marketing, said Friday the jerseys have been “well received.”
“From our perspective, people have had many favorable comments about them,” said Browne, who added that the third jersey design was fan-driven. “From a business perspective, the sales have been very strong and continue to be.”
Really, so you are basing this off or a marketing exec trying to save face with a jersey that's in a tailspin by saying....
How about some actual facts to back that up? BAN! Turn in your mod sash with your AA chip.
That's like saying Chris Chelios was well received, and his appearance requests are very strong and continue to be.
So suck on that face monger.
The comments section a fan said they were selling well. What is an AA chip?
Hahah the comments section, true investigative journalism.
AA Chip... Alcoholics Anonymous? You get them for lengths of time you are sober.
I am like a ninja journalist with no writing skills...never been to AA so yeah no wonder I didn't know about them.
So AA is like the boy scouts for adults, do stuff get merit badges, got it.
That brings me to a good question... Whats our record in wearing those, anyway? Any idea from the past few seasons since they were introduced??
I was curious too and checked it, since they were introduced last year the Hawks are 8-6-0 in the thirds, add another loss if you count the Winter Classic.
Yea we have not fiared well in ours either. They did However kick ass in the Black the year before the new 3rd.
