I was curious too and checked it, since they were introduced last year the Hawks are 8-6-0 in the thirds, add another loss if you count the Winter Classic.

Wow, that seems much better than my memory of them, I guess I only notice when they lose. As when they win in them I couldn't give a **** what they are wearing. Overall I'm not a big fan.



Out of curiosity, how did you look this up? Is there a rule to when the teams are supposed to wear there third jersey or something?

Well I had also heard they scrapped the thirds, but they're actually wearing them tonight against Minnesota...already down early in the first. Hey you never know, maybe they'll change during intermission

In addition, as the league has to approve a teams 3rd/alternate jersey, I am willing to bet they also have to approve the "scrapping" of it too. Lest we forget, the league also gets a bit of the revenue off of each officially liscensed jersey.

There is a schedule on the BH site showing which games the third jersey is used for this season and there was one for last year too, but I couldn't find it, so checked every game recap from the last season to see what they wore (yes, I was bored).

Interesting game last night for sure. A little slow starting but hard work got the job done.



Great work by Turco to keep a level head through this goalie stuff and put up a hell of a good game. (I still refuse to call it a controversy because I think one of the goalies involved in those has to be problematic..neither of our goalies are).



Nice to see Hossa back looked good last night and gave the team a good jump. Kane will do the same.



Lately there have been signs of a team that actually could compete for a repeat to be honest. Still some issues but the lines are starting to come together now and the focus seems to be back. Not going to get to far ahead though. This teams goal should be to get to the all star break with a record capable of competing for the division. I think they can do that. Some big games this week will help that cause.

Was a nice holiday game and win. I needed it as this Christmas has been..let's say interesting (maybe save that for the IHN couch). Hope everyone is having and had a good one though.

I agree. The "new" guys Bickell, Skille, Dowell, etc. stepping it up while Hossa and Kane have been out and Bolland and Brouwer starting to produce has me optimistic that we could make a very deep run in the playoffs.
