No what did he saw? Not first time though as Fred called into Boers and Bernstein which led to good minute shouting match. Pretty entertaining

Re:fred just called in for the game.

he complained about hinrich and salmons not hitting any shots. you could tell it was fred for the standard criticisms of both hinrich and salmons. he also pointed out that the lains are a lot harder to cut into when there are 5 guys guarding the basket.

i hate to say it, but fred's old podcasts were right about this year. Salmons reverted back to his old shooting percentage. kirk was complete and utter crap on the offensive end.
The more hinrich sees the floor, the more he's lowering his trade value. the coaches need to ask hinrich to start practicing shooting more often. right now he's ron artes-esquet. the streakiest player alive.

Not surprised. If I ever heard a recording of this I would expect to hear a tirade on how much Hinrich sucks and how we were foolish to let BG go because we sorely need that 3pt shooting to help Rose (this point is true) and that this game was an atrocity.

he brought up that gordon never shot below 40%, and that hinrich was just plain pathetic. he also pointed out that everyone has given hinrich a free pass for being such a terrible offensive player.

Not surprised at all. That's pretty much his calling card (no pun intended) when it comes to this subject.

Let me give you the 411 on why I had to call. And yes that was me. I couldn't take the nonsense I was hearing anymore.

#1. I was getting angry at Kashul's criticism of Rose. He was complaining about Derrick not attacking the hoop. He basically said, "Derrick needs to drive the ball to the basket." Of course, it's kind of hard to take the ball to the basket when you have 5 guys basically sitting in or next to the paint, because no one was able to hit a shot outside of 15 feet.

#2. I couldn't take Kashul calling out Salmons without calling out Hinrich. Honesly Kirk fans, how can you possibly defend his performance so far this year? He's making a lot more money than John, and a lot more should be expected, but for some reason, Kashul is calling out John without gutting the Captain. Why? I can't freaking take it anymore. Going into the game, Kirk was shooting 35%, 20% from the 3-point line. It's the exact same point I made on the show with Houheffna...I expected John and Kirk to regress to their career numbers without Ben. They're now attracting the better perimeter defenders. But this...this is ridiculous.

And for the record DPauley, I don't agree with Mark and Diddy on Taj over Tyrus. I'll discuss on the next show. Although you have to hand it to Taj, he played very well tonight. I still like the Thomas J over Taj's. Our problem isn't rebounding right now...it's the pathetic jump shooting. We are a god-awful shooting team, and you won't win in this league consistently.

Wish i lived in Chicago to hear it. While its still early, I think its already been shown early why we were better off keeping Gordon. Fred was right. Now no room for Salmons nor Rose to drive

But we have Kirk and his elite defense, which will get us further apparently

I said something to the effect, "Salmons has received a lot of criticism. Rightly so, but why does the Captain get a pass?" I then went into a litany of his patethic offensive statistics. I'm sure thousands of 10 year-olds in Winnetka started crying, but I'm calling it like it is. And then I made the point that these 2, Salmons and Hinrich, are absolutely KILLING Rose. John and Kirk are our primary weapons from the outside, and they are dropping the ball. And then tonight, when Miller finally has a bad game and goes 0-5, you basically get a Raptor team that didn't run out the 3-point line all night.

Re:fred just called in for the game.

I'm glad you heard it Pinkizdead. Doug heard me and called me almost immediately afterward. We had a great conversation about the radio broadcast, which I usually like. But my goodness, how many times did Wennington and Chuck bring up the fact that this was a back to back? You would've thought that this was the first back to back in the history of basketball. It's not like this is an old team.

Fred, what do you have against the north shore. Not all of us are whiney kirk hinrich fans.

I'm curious to know what their responses were. I will admit though, Kirk Hinrich is making my being a Kirk Hinrich fan a disgrace. He does need to step it up. Though I still believe he is not the horrible player you make him out to be.

It's funny because as much as Fred complains about Hinrich getting a pass, I see more Hinrich hate than Salmons hate (eg just look at the threads on the board) despite the fact that Salmons is playing worse (which isn't to say they aren't both playing crap).

In fact I'd go as far to say that most of the Hinrich getting a pass comes as a reaction to people like Fred who like to point out his flaws as often as possible. Gotta root for the underdog and all! ;)

Hating hinrich is about egalitarianism. Salmons is getting a lot of the hate from the media. people like fred are just out there to make sure hinrich get's his fair share of the hate. you'd hate to see some1 of hinrich's caliber ignored. it's just spreading the wealth.

If you think the media is crap then why pay attention to it? Watch the game with the sound off, don't read the papers. I don't get why Fred listens to people he knows are going to make him angry.

I would by that if we made up more than 1% of bulls fans. The media and other boards are full of kirk lovers.
